I didn't read all of it, but I don't disagree that using LSAT score as a measure of future success is problematic.
Yes, but I disagree with saying, "hey let's let people who probably won't succeed or pay back their loans go into massive debt for law school, (I'll just keep my lips sealed that all of that debt is government and tax payer financed ;) )"
Yes yes yes there are definitely people who want to go to law school who should not because they have zero conception of what they are getting into. Don't disagree with that
If you actually paid out of pocket or whatever, then I could understand the idea of letting lots of people in and letting them sink or swim, but not when their education is payed for by everyone else and when they sink it screws everyone else.

Guys I think I have decided where I will go if all aid was the same and every school accepted me. Been actually doing research on where I would want to work, what schools do well there, what schools are good to be at and all that jazz. I am thoroughly excited for August!

I'm still holding out hope that we all end up at UVA
I spend an embarrassingly large amount of time daydreaming about my porch and dog and grill.

Charlottesville is really great. I could wax poetic for a while, but I feel it is a perfect blend of beautiful seasons, cool restaurants, lively art/music scene, closeness to mountains, proximity to DC/Philly/NYC, easy commuting, and low COL. If you have any particular questions, I always love talking about C'ville.

+1, would definitely opt for DC or a smaller city if able
But DC is even more expensive. :(
Than NYC? No way.

$160,000 in D.C is the same as $251,000 in Manhattan according to this http://money.cnn.com/calculator/pf/cost-of-living/
