I applied to Y and S but not expecting to get in to either, especially given that I'm a K-JD.

This cycle has blown, but then again maybe my expectations were too high.

Ah well damn. Waitlisted at 4:32 eastern. I was reading through the forums here after my class ended at 4, feeling really blessed to have gotten through the waitlist wave, then I logged out of my email at 4:30.

Just checked back into my email, and the waitlist offer came literally less than 5 minutes after I logged off an hour ago! Haha oh well.

Applied early November, early December JS1. 170, 3.92, K-JD, above average softs, I think. I'll ride it out up until the end of July, but I don't think I can handle the uncertainty past that point.

Sorry to hear about all the great people being waitlisted today, and good luck to everyone still in the hunt!

People are being moved from a pool of post-JS1s where the average person had a better than even chance of getting in to a waitlist where being admitted is a long shot. It sucks. If you're actually trying to, you know, get in and aren't just looking for a pat on the back from one of the best law schools in the WORLD, it's depressing news. Especially when it condemns you to 5 more months of uncertainty.

This is spot on. I'm disappointed, not because I felt entitled, but because Harvard is the dream, and I was so close!!! I don't want to be close, I want to have made it. Plus, it's just a little damn irritating that now I have a lot more waiting to look forward to.

Echoing what someone had said earlier, you WL'ers should still be proud of how far you've come -- clearly you have impressed Harvard enough to want to hold onto you!

I've still been experiencing silence since November. At this point, I just want some kind of answer, even if it's the infamous ding.
