Glad to be here for this historic moment.
I am probably gonna change it before I leave work. It feels like walking around in someone else's skin
Nooooo I missed it! Darn it, I've been getting ready to leave all day. I'm waiting at the terminal and saw this. I'm so disheartened.

surprised that Feldman hasn't been savaged for this yet in these fora

unless it's happened in the lounge. I don't go there.

I don't think you should.
You have a great outcome already.
I think the only reason for you to apply to Harvard at this point is if you really want academia.

Also, it's not like they gave you a waiver or anything. From what I'm seeing around TLS, it looks like these emails went out to a bunch of people well below median so it may just be a selectivity tactic.
Yeah that's what I told myself. Bolded is what made me hesitant. I hate, hate, HATE closing doors on myself. I have pretty clear career goals, but I know that by opting out of applying to HYS I am likely closing some doors that, although not my realistic career goals, would be amazing unicorn dreams. I know super unlikely unicorn dreams really aren't worth 300k in debt, but I think I will always wonder what my life would be like had I taken it

EDIT: assuming I'd get in lol I'm still a splitter there and would probably have to ride a long WL
Why not just apply? The only thing to lose is some money, and yea it's a decent bit short term, but in relation to your expenses for your career it really is nothing. Why not just see if that door is open and you can decide what you want to do if you actually do get in?

Ugh I'm working on a bunch of reports that need to be finalized before Monday, but everyone who needs to give me info/feedback is at a conference and not responding to my emails. :(

Hoping to get my first batch of apps out this weekend. Probably going to submit apps to Michigan, Virginia, Vandy, Emory and WUSTL first.

Also, I am super excited for the upcoming holiday season.

+1. Even though waiting to hear back from schools after submitting is stressful, just knowing it's *somewhat* all out of our hands now seems like it will make the holidays that much more enjoyable.

Also, where is everybody?? seems like this whole week has been quiet here.

I didn't read all of it, but I don't disagree that using LSAT score as a measure of future success is problematic.
Yes, but I disagree with saying, "hey let's let people who probably won't succeed or pay back their loans go into massive debt for law school, (I'll just keep my lips sealed that all of that debt is government and tax payer financed ;) )"
