Sorry to everyone who has been WL'd today. This seems appropriate.

While prepping for the LSAT I live vicariously through you good folks. My heart hurts watching BOM, Scoobers, Drawstring, and the other regulars getting the WL offer.teampeeta wrote:The trifecta of greatness.potterdam wrote:Ron Burgundy, Kanye West and Toby Ziegler are all browsing this forum. I dont understand the condolences for people getting waitlisted
You are being considered for one of the best law schools in the WORLD, just because you have great numbers it doesnt mean you are entitled to anything.
I am quite happy with my waitlist which just came in, typical reverse splitter.
Will ride this to the end.

People are being moved from a pool of post-JS1s where the average person had a better than even chance of getting in to a waitlist where being admitted is a long shot. It sucks. If you're actually trying to, you know, get in and aren't just looking for a pat on the back from one of the best law schools in the WORLD, it's depressing news. Especially when it condemns you to 5 more months of uncertainty.lawschool2014hopeful wrote:I dont understand the condolences for people getting waitlisted

You are right, I guess it all depends on expectations and perspectives.redsox wrote:People are being moved from a pool of post-JS1s where the average person had a better than even chance of getting in to a waitlist where being admitted is a long shot. I don't understand this either. It seems like the WL would go out after all the other decisions, but I know that they've done it this way in years past. There must be some logic to it.liammial wrote:why would harvard want to wl people before admitting/denying everyone?

It's not as much a pride or entitlement thing as it is the fact that now several people have no idea what to do in terms of living arrangements, finances, etc. Once I graduate I have to move somewhere, and not even knowing what coast I am going to live on next year is going to make that really complicated.lawschool2014hopeful wrote:I dont understand the condolences for people getting waitlisted
