Got my status checker today after submitting 11/8. How long have people been having to wait between completion and decision? Congrats to those who are in!

Hm... what motivation would a school have to review applications in an order other than that in which they were received? It has to be somehow related to the likelihood of getting in, one way or the other. i.e., they bring either the likely admits or the likely rejects to the top of the pile?

Am I thinking too hard?

Hm... what motivation would a school have to review applications in an order other than that in which they were received? It has to be somehow related to the likelihood of getting in, one way or the other. i.e., they bring either the likely admits or the likely rejects to the top of the pile?

I talked to a lady in the Michigan law office about something like this. She told me that since they receive hard copies of the LSAC report, LSAC sends them in big batches. I don't think it's out of the question that somebody who submitted 11/2 might have their enveloped LSAC report in the same pile as a 10/28 submittal.

Most candidates will receive a decision within 10 weeks of their files’ completion, but occasionally, we require more time to thoroughly consider an application. Because the timing can vary, we can’t predict a decision date; our goal is to have all decisions made by late April, but the vast majority will be made well in advance.
