I don't think there is a set time...i think it can be between 5 minutes to 6 hours after the status check change...mine came at about 3:30 PST

Plus, first love never dies. Getting in so early and fast made me feel wanted--unlike schools that generally do a lot of YP like Penn and UVA.
Did you write a Why Duke essay?

Yeah, I did my homework. I wrote it about two professors at Duke I'd love to take classes from.

Assuming your numbers on LSN are correct, I would say you probably didn't even need a "Why Duke?".

I think the higher your numbers are, the more you need one.

I guess maybe if you're worried about YP, but I don't think VoidSix has high enough numbers to worry about that (although they are higher than mine).

I don't know if there is a such that as "for sure" in law school admissions, but I'd bet a hefty wager that you will hear from them today...keep us updated...stats?

He's a virtual lock at all of CCN; pretty good reason to waitlist him from Duke's perspective. Sounds like doing some research paid off in avoiding that.

Keep in mind I have a strong personal interest in thinking Duke is YP-happy to rationalize my own WL decision. :?

They look at your whole file when deciding scholarship money, boys. Get with the program.

Also--Duke doesn't YP much, but I think if you're at or above the 75th's at Chicago and NYU in both categories, you're probably in danger of being YP'ed at MVPBDCNG.

171/3.75
Decision has been made; you will be notified soon.
I actually visited Duke and was escorted by a Professor from the Law School; his wife's aunt is my mom's good friend, so he did me a great favor. I didn't mention his name in the essay, but I did say I spoke to a professor who was very giving of his time and knowledge.
Anyway, I also wrote a Why Duke? about my visit. I'm hoping for good news, but the wait is difficult and similar to the LSAT wait in some ways haha.

Well in that case, I take back everything I've said. I'm certain Duke YPs and that a simple LOCI will sway them to accept anyone at your stats or above. :D

As of this afternoon, my decision was made. Supposedly, I'm getting notified "soon." I was hoping to hear in the same day. Has anyone else whose decision was made today heard anything from Duke? It's 736 EST!

Got my acceptance email at the same time! Really surprised, because I just went under review on 11/17.

Same! Congrats. I'm so excited. If my fiancee gets into UNC dental (we should hear on 12/1), then there's a > 50% chance we end up there. (barring a Harvard miracle)

Congrats to those of you with acceptances! I'm still waiting. Just curious, when did you all submit/go complete?
