Hey all, long time lurker on this thread and this might be a little late, but thought I would post what I can recall of my online video interview questions:

1. What are your long term career goals?

2. factor you would attribute to your success.

3. a time you were challenged more than you expected, and how did you react?

4. friend punted it in class, how do you console him?

5. give an exampled of how you used a large data set to make a decision.

6. why NU?

Good luck, I would gladly take a two-hour skype session with Johann over that any day.

What if they lied? What if they gave end of January as a rough estimate? :o

Well, actually in the Decision Letter they say "By the end of January, we expect to complete our re-evaluation of those candidates who have chosen to remain on hold from the Early Decision Program".

"We expect" gives them a little wiggle room :(

Read: a lot. Like half of my job is writing emails like this that give my team maximum flexibility and minimum accountability. "We expect" along with "may","should", "forecast", and "target" mean nothing. You may as well say nothing at all.

That being said, NU has my trust as an organization with decent, professional people. I expect an answer today.

I called yesterday explaining my sob story and how my wife is trying to get a job but can't commit to any of the offers since we don't know where we'll be living yet. I did my best, but it wasn't good enough. The response I got was "because of rolling admissions we really can't even give you an estimated timeline. Sorry I know this is frustrating."

Those who are in - did your status date change? Mine still has 12/16 from the ED hold.
