High LSAT, low GPA. I have excuses though and added an addendum but I'm trying to not rely on that too much.

I expect with the recent data Spivey released maybe schools are trying to fight for high LSATs first (admitting with some lower GPAs than usual) if they are going to be more rare this cycle.

Then they can fill the gaps in GPA later.

Welp I'm above 75 for nyu on lsat and getting no love :/

Has anyone considered that the order could be based alphabetically or something equally mundane? I'm sure its either complete chaos or much more boring than we think

My initials are the last two letters so probably not alphabetically

not sure, but the number of applicants last year that had a score from 168-180 is about 4,200. Assuming all of those 4,200 applied to NYU then that's well over the majority that I think would not be auto ding.

Count your blessings that you did not go to U of C. The U of C UIC confusions are endless.

Not my situation, but I applied to Northeastern as a backup and idk who told someone what but my extended family keeps calling me saying, "congrats on getting into Northwestern with scholarship!!!" That's a fun one.

I'm Facebook friends with a bunch of my younger sibling's friends, and their NYU undergrad early decisions came out today... so when I saw a few NYU Facebook statuses, I initially freaked a little bit

Got accepted a couple of days ago (about a week after going complete). First school I heard back from and I was really excited/relieved to start things off with a yes from one of the schools I'm most interested in.

I'm well above 75th for LSAT and at 25th for GPA.

Edit: I have to join in on this discussion about the huge variance in lay prestige compared to law prestige for some of the T14. I told a couple people about my first acceptance and got the somewhat cautious reception of friends and family worried that I'll be attending some NY state school they haven't heard of. Not a big deal, but just funny to think about how much more excited they would have been if I named some local TTT that they had heard of before.

Only 5 GPA wasn't counted (only 5 international undergrads went to NYU?)

Not great news to me.

Oh damn, is that what that means? International as well, and it seems like all the internationals I've seen have LSATS above the median.

I guess so. If your GPA is evaluated as A/B/C/D by LSAC. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

When people make that face, you should tell them NYU isn't a state school; it's a private university, and a damn expensive/prestigious one at that! lol

That just seems so strange to me because in UG, they had a lot of international students.

Edit: But also, the class size is WAY bigger in UG...
