Looks like one thing we can tell with some evidence is that they may mail out batches on Mondays. Or at least date letters on Mondays. So for anyone close by, midweek may be the most likely time to get it.

This may be a rude question, but has anyone been denied yet? I applied the day the app opened and I have a slim chance of getting in. I haven't been contacted for an interview and have yet to hear anything. I'm just waiting to be dinged and wondering when that happens.

In today via mail! RD. Submitted a month and a half ago. Even though I've basically decided to go to Michigan unless Georgetown somehow gives great aid (which they seemingly don't), the tiny envelope nearly gave me a heart attack. Good luck to those still waiting!

Does anyone know if anyone has ever been rejected after a group interview with Dean Cornblatt?

I am in today as well with a letter marked 11/16. I am so happy I could cry! I was expecting to be on the waitlist.

It seems the people in this thread live far away from DC lol because their snail mail takes like 7 days+.

I doubt anyone is going to have info other than one person they heard about or their own result. This is the kind of question that is not going to help your anxiousness because there is no real information to answer it, and even if there was, it wouldn't predict your result. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I've been going through the spreadsheets - the problem is that TLS is self-selecting. You're not hearing from the people that were waitlisted or dinged. And if they are listed as waitlisted/dinged, the spreadsheets say most of them were interviewed. But only a handful updated the spreadsheets with their decisions, so this probably isn't very useful.gamerish wrote:You can check the spreadsheets for the last two years and look at who was denied and whether or not they were interviewed. I'd do it myself to assuage my own neuroticism but my hands are full at the moment.threatlevelmidnight wrote:Interested this as well, what is the correlation between interviews and decisions?BSD wrote:Does anyone know if anyone has ever been rejected after a group interview with Dean Cornblatt?
A few things:
Last year's cycle, the only person on there that was waitlisted and received an interview request, according to LSN, this person declined the interview. This person also had a 180, 3.5. Make of that what you will.
Two years ago, there are several people (I counted three) that received requests for interviews and were waitlisted. One person declined the interview invite.
Anyway, this is likely futile, but this makes me think that there must many more people out there being dinged/waitlisted with interview requests. Sad.
