Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

248 members, 97 invited.
Thankyou! Rational reaction: I am toast
Hopelessly Hopeful reaction: THERES ~80 SPACES AND ONLY 1 OF ME WOOOOO
how'd you get 80 spaces? i thought there was about 390 admitted every year which would only leave about 45 spaces and that's assuming everyone has a facebook profile
Where do people keep getting this 390 figure from? I'm intrigued! Look at the 2015 ABA report - 433 admits :)

EDIT: also i'm terrible at maths so who knows if that actually leaves around 80 spaces :?: :!: :?:
I assume the 433 admits include people who were offered admission off the wait-list right? i recall reading from last year's wait list thread that they had to fill about 40 spots from the wait list. if that is correct, we shouldn't be expecting more than 393 offers before the seat deposits are due.

The thing is, I did attempt to access the site from Stanford's website. Anyone else have this issue?
I've had it pop up a few times.

https://aces2.lsac.org/YourStatus/membe ... i%2B0OE%3D should work for Stanford.

They want you to always go through the school's site, but by changing the string after 'guid=' you go to different school's status checkers (for example NYU has a guid=xLWppa13eyY%3D).

Got the call this afternoon from Dean Deal and I'm in! Posted my stats at the bottom of the spreadsheet/ complete date for those who care to know. Best of luck to all those still waiting.

Did you send a LOCI? Huge Congrats, so lucky!
Yes and no. Dean Deal had emailed me asking for updates on employment and activities.
I then threw some continued interest into my reply.

You have to write a letter in blood then throw it into a fire of burning sage while performing a chant at midnight. You'll receive your response on the following morning written on your bathroom mirror.

I hope that the SLS admissions committee can see how many times a person logs into his/her status checker every day. I can't think of a better "actions speak louder than words" supplement to my heartfelt, tearstained LOCI.

Also, as I realized this morning, I've had entire relationships run their course in the amount of time SLS has been deliberating whether or not they like me. I think I'm developing a complex.

I think erinlily was saying there hadn't been a status update (aka no DLS), but had been rejected already. S/he found out when s/he called the admin office to ask.

I'm pretty sure they were referencing that when you go DLS on the status checker, it doesn't tell you if you're rejected or waitlisted, so you can call and ask for confirmation.

If I am still under review should I accept a LOCI or is that more for people on the wait list.

Continued interest is futile.

(Just kidding. I have no idea what you should do. I've been under review for months, and the LOCI I sent a few weeks ago hasn't elicited any movement.)

I'm considering withdrawing in protest of my 6.5 month wait for an answer. Not seriously considering it, obviously, but the thought is there now at the back of my mind...

So does anyone think it's still worth it to send in a LOCI this late in the game? Also, how long after going under review would you send one? It's been only about 2.5 months for me, and I know others have been waiting for much longer...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
