Huge congrats to all of the Butlers and Hamiltons. I know that if I got a Hamilton offer I would pretty much definitely withdraw from everyone and go straight to Columbia. Definitely jelly.

Mine still says "complete." There's some little line on there that says they won't post further updates after "complete," and it appears that's really true.icantwait wrote:Congrats to all the new admits! Did you guys have status checker updates as well? Or does it still say complete?

Congratulations to all the new acceptances, especially Hamiltons and Butlers!
I'm curious, was there anyone who got in, but who also did an interview within the last week or two? Until I hear otherwise, I'm going to hold on to the vain hope that it's just going to take a little turn-around time between interview and acceptance!

Accepted today via email (living out of the country). Under review since roughly the end of October, did not have an interview.

Eta I don't know if you're in the Aleutian time zone or just a night owl, but your late-night posts are always the first things I see on TLS in the morning

I am assuming that the interview takes place in ET?

I really hope that there's another Hamilton/Butler wave this cycle (emphasis on Hammy) but my hopes have plummeted to non-existent.

Don't lose hope! I still believe that there's Hamiltons and Butlers waiting out there for people. Remember that a few of the people who received emails yesterday were International applicants, and there's a storm that's ravaging some large cities in the East Coast from Thursday - Saturday. I would imagine that that falls under weather related issues, and those people would get emails early too. It's very possible that another chunk of Hammys and Butlers have already been mailed, and are on their way to people's mailboxes now.
I may just be grasping for straws, but I think there's a light at the end of this tunnel!

Congrats, Jets. You're going to have a really difficult decision on your hands.jetsfan1 wrote:Holy shit hadn't checked my email at all today but just opened up a Hamilton... Not even freaking out just in complete shock...

ETA: Since you and I have nearly identical numbers, this is giving me hope.

This got lost in the Hammy/Butler wave of 2016, so I'm just going to repost. What do you guys think?bell wrote:At the bottom of my admit letter, it says that I'm encouraged to schedule an individual appointment with one of a few members of the admissions team to learn more about CLS. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you have to apply for the Hamilton/Butler?

My letter also included this language. Not sure quite what to make of it either, but I figured I would wait until the official packet came in the mail to see if there was any more specific guidance with that. I think this may have been the boilerplate language for this round of admits not being considered for a big-name scholly so I doubt we're the only ones who got it, but's let stay in touch re: what to do!bell wrote:This got lost in the Hammy/Butler wave of 2016, so I'm just going to repost. Have not done this (not admitted [yet]), but I assume an email to admissions (admissions[at]law.columbia.edu) is all that's necessary.bell wrote:This got lost in the Hammy/Butler wave of 2016, so I'm just going to repost.
