Everyone did, we are talking about it over in the accepted students thread.spencercross wrote:Yes. Wish my current scholarship offer were enough to make USC viable for me so I could take advantage of it.lawschool1741 wrote:Did everyone get this Seat Deposit Incentive email?
I also wish my current scholarship would have been high enough.
Just got shot down for a negotiation using less money from a slightly higher ranked school, which led me to be really annoyed about getting the 2k/year if you put in a seat deposit email an hour later. I just told them I won't commit without an increased scholarship, not just offering me the 2k is kind of insulting.monkeyKT wrote:has anyone successfully negotiated scholarships?

Hahaha Laws it's such a hilarious thread. By the way, I really enjoyed reading your posts about the WashU ASW. I wish I could make it. Anyway, I just put down my deposit a few hours ago and I guess I'll be in St. Louis this fall!LawsRUs wrote:The above restaurants will be checked out and surveyed in one day during ASW--thanks for the info !! Me too! It's officially April. Let's hope we see at least some movement this afternoon. I'm still at CR2 as of 5 minutes ago.Itstatertot wrote:Crossing my fingers for some good news today!!

This cycle has been really fucking weird and it seems like a lot of seat deposit deadlines have moved. I'm not expecting any real waves until after the 15th.

Hopefully it's at least April 14th so we can have one day before other deposits are due hahah but yeah I definitely agree. I feel the same way.

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Yes but UCLA's is mid APRIL. This day also falls shortly after the ASW for both USC and UCLA AND most T-14 schools have early April deadlines so USC will start to see a lot of people withdrawing to go elsewhere OR firming up their commitment after seeing the school. This is also the scholarship reservation deadline for USC, it's just a form, no money is required, but I assume it will cause at least some people to check the "No, I do not wish to reserve my scholarship, I am not coming to USC" option. So April 15th USC will definitely have a good number of withdraws.Dulman wrote:USC's first deposit deadline isn't until May 1st...an entire month away.lawdoggy wrote:LaraCroftEsq wrote:Eh....I'm starting to lose hope for a wave today. Edit to correct my own stupidity.

Why don't they just waitlist people?? What is the advantage to their yield/acceptance rate which is why they wait.
