I'd like to know this as well.

Does NYU always admit via phone call?

Typically, the status checker will update to "Decision Letter Sent" before the phone call. Within a few hours of that update, you can try to log into the Admitted Students Website to see if you have access (if so, you're in!). If you've been accepted, a call will come in the next day or two. The actual letter is sent by snail mail and can take a week or more to arrive (it took a week for me and I live in NYC).

*shrug* I don't know. On LSN, it seems like not a week goes by without someone getting accepted or rejected. Some waves seem bigger than others.

Went complete 1/4 and then UR1 one day later...UR2 as of 1/18...seems incredibly fast even for NYU. GPA above 75%. LSAT 25%-50%. Expecting a ding...maybe this week. I assume there'll be a wave. My application fee record also disappeared.

Went UR1 1/4 and UR2 today. Is the fast turnaround generally a good sign, bad one or totally irrelevant?

Also, how long was it between UR2 and DLS, for those who've received decisions?

Check the spreadsheet. Those data are there for those who have updated their information. Although the numbers might be skewed considering the big wave on 12/1 that admitted people who applied over a 2+ month period.

ETA: Data for U2 to DLS aren't included in the spreadsheet. But complete to decision are...

Shit really? I don't have a fee record either (and no date changes), but I don't remember if I had a fee record to begin with. We sure this is a sign of a ding?

Does the fee record disappearing usually precede DLS? Mine's gone and now I'm really nervous if there's a ding wave coming up. I'm above both 75th so it would definitely make me feel less confident about my app overall if I got dinged.

I've been admitted and my fee box is blank.

:s Went UR 1/5 and UR1 1/7 - no movement since then but my fee record is blank now, too.

If this isn't a precursor to a ding wave, then NYU's status checker sure knows how to bring the panic.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
