Once 3/15 kicks in, which is when the 12 week period ends, is it appropriate to follow up with an email?

For those of you who fall into the *nothing but radio silence* category, I emailed admissions today and was told I should have a decision "within the next week". Perhaps others will hear soon as well?

October! Not expecting an acceptance, but any news would be good news at this point.imKMart wrote:Thank you for sharing - when did you go complete?JTIII wrote:For those of you who fall into the *nothing but radio silence* category, I emailed admissions today and was told I should have a decision "within the next week". So what's the protocol if you have decision mailed? If it's Fedex, you will get an e-mail from Fedex saying you should be expecting a package? If it's USPS, then it's WL/ding?

You won't receive an email from fedex. You need to use their delivery manager online or call them directly to ask if they have a package for you. It weighs 5-6 lbs.NoOneImportant wrote:So what's the protocol if you have decision mailed? If it's Fedex, you will get an e-mail from Fedex saying you should be expecting a package? I would just call fedex and give them your information. Let them know your situation. I did not have to sign for my package. They just left it on my front porch.buckiguy_sucks wrote:I'm getting an error code trying to sign up for delivery manager and called their tech support and can't get it resolved .They're sending it to their "research department" whatever the hell that means.
Without a tracking code I can just call FedEx?
ETA: I won't be home when it would come and it would probably get stolen, do they require signature or something?

I got DLS sometime in the morning Central Time, called FedEx within a couple hours to no avail, and received an e-mail from them (FedEx) around the late afternoon with delivery tracker and all.

Only been 6 weeks. I think most people wait 8-12 weeks.mec896 wrote:I'm well above the 75 for GPA and got a 169 lsat. WTF is taking so long. I applied on 2/1, but still this seems to be taking far too long.

I dont say this to make anyone envious (not that you would be)....but its odd that I had a relatively quick turn around (2.5 weeks), but I received pretty lack luster aid. Just something I was thinking about recently.
ETA: just thinking about it in regards to everyone else who has not been as fortunate to have a quick turn around.

Also same situation. Got in about 3 weeks after applying. Then I got more aid from UVA. That has me like WTF.fa1493 wrote:I dont say this to make anyone envious (not that you would be)....but its odd that I had a relatively quick turn around (2.5 weeks), but I received pretty lack luster aid. Do they not negotiate. I would think if they had a shot at getting you over UVA they'd definitely give you more $$.jepper wrote:Also same situation. Got in about 3 weeks after applying.
