Damn dude at least you're under review! I submitted 1/7 and am still at complete, even though I'm above both 75's. It's driving me insane LOL.hopeboaltberkeley wrote:Ugh stuck at u3 from yesterday. Concerning that some people went u4 ---> accept today

For admitted people: has your status actually moved to "under review?" Mine has stayed at "application is complete" but has had date changes.

^No, Cornell does not change their status checker to "Under Review." It will stay at complete and there will be date changes.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
I think people say UR in reference to those date changes even though it still just says "Complete."Jmlstern wrote:For admitted people: has your status actually moved to "under review?" Mine has stayed at "application is complete" but has had date changes.
"Your application is complete and will be forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review. Over time you may notice that your current status date will change even though your current status does not. These date changes mean that your file is moving through our internal review process. You should receive a decision by mid-to-late April or sooner."

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
For those of us just accepted, will we get a merit package seperate from the need based application process Cornell described for us in the PDF? Or do we have to fill that out first in order to get any scholarship offers at all? For me, this is the first university that has asked for this process.

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
I hate to keep asking the same thing but I'm still mildly confused about Cornell's scholarship process, which seems different than other schools. Assuming i'm only interesting in merit aid, I fill out the Cornell Law Financial Information Aid Sheet and mail it in. Then I fill out my FAFSA, assuming I will be taking out some loans. Then I receive a financial aid "package" which contains my loan and merit scholarship information. Then, assuming I didn't receive a full ride by clerical error, I negotiate. Do I have this correct? Any current Cornell students looking at this thread wanna chime in?

Only student tax returns? What if a student is a dependent on parents' tax returns?
Thank you

From this page you need the parents (I don't think being a dependent makes a difference):Law1491 wrote:Only student tax returns? What if a student is a dependent on parents' tax returns?

If you wish to be considered for institutional scholarships please submit the following:
Complete the Cornell Law School Financial Aid Information Sheet
File a FAFSA using school code 002711
File a Need Access Report
Submit a copy of parent 2014 federal tax return
Submit a copy of student 2014 federal tax return

I addressed this 2 pages ago.JFO1833 wrote:From this page you need the parents:

But if any of you aren't sure what to do for your situation, I think you should just e-mail financial aid and ask. They won't bite your head off.

Both. Per LSN nobody has been straight-rejected with my numbers since 2011-2012.

Should I be concerned that I am "verifying materials for completion" since 01/24?

Reserve as well.
LSAT exactly at 25%, GPA just above median.

Did you interview? And I could be wrong, but wasn't Why Cornell only a few sentences on the app?Dipper wrote:Reserve. 75<LSAT; median GPA; complete 1/14.
