Also does anyone know when Vanderbilt has to send a response by? I presume it's April 15th but I haven't been able to find an exact date.

Between Doges, I believe since the deposit deadline is 4/15 it would make the most sense, at least to me, if they got their decisions out by then. I've been complete since 12/18, so an actual deadline would be nice but I don't think they're actually confined to that date.doge wrote:Also does anyone know when Vanderbilt has to send a response by? That is really weird, I'm still waiting also on the exact same complete date with numbers that would fit in at Vandy.krispymenudo wrote:Between Doges, I believe since the deposit deadline is 4/15 it would make the most sense, at least to me, if they got their decisions out by then. "The Admissions Office has mailed your decision letter to the address listed in your application as your preferred address on the date the decision was mailed. Decisions are sent by USPS or FedEx; we do not disclose admissions decisions by email or telephone. Please see the Current Status Date below for the date your decision letter was mailed. If it has been more than 2 weeks since your decision was mailed and you have not received your letter, please contact us at admissions@law.vanderbilt.edu"
About damn time, 16 weeks after complete. Probably a WL or rejection at this point since they drew me out for so long

How long would it take to show up on FDM if it was an acceptance?JustHawkin wrote:Goodluck! Check that Fedex Delivery Manager!!!bluemonkey219 wrote:Status changed to decision mailed this morning. I went complete mid-January.

I'm emailing admissions now to withdraw my app.
Went complete 1/13 and no movement since.
There's really no chance I'm going there because I want to stay in Chicago.
Good luck to everyone else! I hope that one less person to deliberate on means they have more time for your apps

Alas, 16 weeks later... decision mailed! No matter the decision, it feels great that the SEVEN schools I am still waiting on are finally getting back to me 4 months later

Does anyone know if I can try and pay a seat deposit or something if I have a decision mailed but it hasn't been received yet? Not sure if I'll be going but I'd like to know a day or two early if possible...

Called the admissions office today... they said that they were only in the beginning of January (in regards to when your complete date was) and I should expect a decision in about 3 weeks, since I went complete in February.

Not true. I mean, I applied in late January and had a decision in two weeks flat. Schools claim to read applications in order, but that doesn't appear to be true in practice.thevuch wrote:seriously?writeon13 wrote:Called the admissions office today... they said that they were only in the beginning of January (in regards to when your complete date was) and I should expect a decision in about 3 weeks, since I went complete in February.

From LSN, it looks like they're making fast decisions on 168 and above. Below that that seem to be working through them basically chronologically.yost wrote:Not true. I even said look I have seen people get acceptances with a complete date later than mine and her response was that sometimes it's easier for the Admissions Committee to make decisions in certain cases, like the person might have had an interview. Basically she contradicted herself by first saying they are going in order then telling me other profiles can get faster decisions based on their circumstanceswriteon13 wrote:Called the admissions office today... they said that they were only in the beginning of January (in regards to when your complete date was) and I should expect a decision in about 3 weeks, since I went complete in February.

Little Spivey bit I'm sure you've all seen but still relevant.
Edit: Outside of Bound who probably just didn't take my amazing PS advice and is thus held up.
That probably answers her contradiction. That is not correct for most schools. The ones with strong/a strong metric (lsat/gpa) get read first at the majority of schools, the less competitive ones sit around and wait.
This is one of the most common misconceptions in law admissions, btw.

Still sitting at a February complete with a 172... (Though I'm a mega-splitter with a pretty unique GPA qualifier so I'm not exactly surprised, just a little miffed)HRomanus wrote:From LSN, it looks like they're making fast decisions on 168 and above.
