Is it outrageous to think they might start accepting off the waitlist after the April 1st deadline? Or is it more likely that theyll just redistribute some of that unused money and leave the WL for after April 15th?

I just declined my admission and scholarship to GW, and I know their date to commit with scholarships is April 1, so hopefully one of you will get my spot off the WL! It's a great school, but just not for me. Good luck!

They gave me an increase of 4k/y yesterday. Have to say it's too little.

Is it too much to send the LOCI by snail mail and email?

New LST score reports are out- GW placed 8% more grads into biglaw! However, gave 5% more grads school-funded jobs. Both great and devastating news. Anyways, to all you WL hopefuls-good luck!

FWIW, I asked about the school funded jobs at Preview Day, and career services basically said they've had some real success getting those students into full time employment. No numbers on that, so take it with a spoon full of salt. They also said the school funded jobs program was a response to the hiring conditions in the field, and they have no idea if it will still exist by the time that 2016 grads need jobs.TheNextAmendment wrote:New LST score reports are out- GW placed 8% more grads into biglaw! Yeah, I'm conflicted. Public interest and biglaw are both up, which is very encouraging. However, the overall non-school funded jobs dropped. I don't know how to interpret all of this information.kckool7 wrote:FWIW, I asked about the school funded jobs at Preview Day, and career services basically said they've had some real success getting those students into full time employment. EDIT: Overall, I'm pretty happy.

The recommendation on this site is paper. I would call and ask each school. Most schools are shifting to a paperless process and don't even accept paper applications.Big Dog wrote:On nice paper, snail mail is different and will be noticed. THAT is the point.what's the point?
Personally, I would email it as I know it gets there instantly and isn't going to get lost or take a week. You get an email confirmation either way.

I prefer to use Owl Post. Very reliable and definitely makes you stand out.

Re: George Washington c/o 2016
So, I have an embarrassingly stupid question, but does anyone who's been admitted know of a way to find your admitted student username if you've completely forgotten it? I heard back in january, created an account, and then put it to the back of my mind until just now when I need to send in my deposit. And I cannot, for the life of me, remember the username they gave me (or I created? I don't even remember how it worked). I know the password because there's a password reset function, but it doesn't seem to reveal my username.
Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Tried that. Doesn't work. I assume they append numbers if there are multiple students with the same initial and last name?kckool7 wrote:first name first letter, and then last name. so john smith would be jsmithMentally_AFK wrote:So, I have an embarrassingly stupid question, but does anyone who's been admitted know of a way to find your admitted student username if you've completely forgotten it?
