We need to just put this PSA at the top of the page in big, flashing red letters:
IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD BACK ABOUT SOMETHING FOR MONTHS ON END, CALL THE OFFICE.
(not counting admission. Waiting 2 months+ is reasonable and expected for a decision.)

I do not understand why people sit on their hands for two months. Something seems to have slipped through the cracks.

I definitely called. Left a message, and just sent an email. To be fair, I did send the application in the last week of November. But you're right, I should have called earlier, and now I'm afraid I'm doing it excessively.

I definitely called. Left a message, and just sent an email. I sent everything in at the end of November, and I wanted to give a little leeway because of the holiday break. I'm just wondering after 2 calls (no answer, but I left one message) if a third phone call is excessive.
In this case, you should call again.

Finally got in touch with a real person :) Apparently there was a problem with my interviewer, but I'll be reassigned today, and that's why my application showed up as incomplete. SIGH

Jeez that's a long time for the office not to sort things out with the interviewer...But glad to hear that it was resolved!

FYI I'm still waiting. Requested interview late in the week of 11/12.

Talked to the office and they said there is nothing wrong, they are just backed up in some cities.

The condescending posts about the fools who sit on their hands for months are unhelpful, as are the posts telling people to call the office incessantly. NU is backed up with requests and they are slow this year. No need to act like an asshole.

Finally got my interviewer assigned after 5 weeks. Sounds like others have waited longer. Hope everyone hears soon! In the email scheduling our appointment, do you think we need to be selling ourselves, or is a simple "I was told to contact you, here are the dates that work for me, look forward to hearing from you soon" sufficient?

Yeah I was nervous about how to initiate contact at first. I just went with a simple email introducing myself, thanking them for taking the time interview me (and thereby indirectly informing them that they were my assigned interviewer), and asked what dates worked for them. I just figured I could sell myself during the actual interview and that they would probably be reading my email on a Blackberry or something so I didn't want to make it too long

Captcha usually means they're dumping a lot of data into the system.

Weird. Well hopefully something is happening behind the scenes!
