For those who have just been accepted off of the wait list, has anyone received an email or just been verbally accepted? So far, I have heard verbally but haven't received any email confirming that or providing additional information.

Nope! I was told over the phone that I will get an email with details and receive an admit letter that will be mailed today.perfectlylegal wrote:For those who have just been accepted off of the wait list, has anyone received an email or just been verbally accepted? But the email hasn't come yet.

Check your e-mail filter, I got an e-mail like 15min after the phone conversation. If not just wait for it, just get ready to pay $750 when u get that e-mail.T14HopefulAK wrote:Nope! Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
I called the admissions office today about the part-time program. They are still reviewing applications on the wait list and they noted that they could admit people up until the first day of class, so nothing new on that front. The only tidbit of interesting information was in reference to an applicant's location. They hinted at the fact that it if you lived in Baltimore it may be likely that you'll still be waiting for a bit because its far more difficult for a student living across the country to make the move to Baltimore at the last minute. If you already live in town, I guess they think that you are more flexible.
So, there is a little bit of hope for all you Charm City denizens out there!

Rent is pretty brutal right now compared to a few years ago in my neighborhood. However, I guess it depends on what you willing to endure. Renting a 2bed, 2bath house in Fed Hill/Riverside/Locust is going to run you anywhere from $1400-1700 (or more) to be perfectly realistic. There are some new apartments that are nearing completion on Wells Street I believe, so you may be able to get a good deal as they fill up their units. However, I have no idea when they will be finished.

I feel your pain... I've owned a home in Maryland for 5+ years, have a MD drivers license, pay MD state taxes, vote in MD, and I still don't qualify for in-state tuition!ford2city wrote:I'm out of state but I have lived in Maryland for the past four years yet still somehow I do not qualify for in state tuition...stephinmd wrote:Congrats to those getting in and those getting scholarship increases. If you are getting increases, are you paying out of state tuition?

Wait.. how did you not qualify for in-state tuition sobo? Did you call them to confirm that, especially since you've owned a home here 5+ years?sobo2012 wrote:I feel your pain... I hope that's the case! Intuitively it makes sense. Does anyone know when classes start?sobo2012 wrote:I called the admissions office today about the part-time program. I'm surprised we haven't heard of anyone getting in off the part-time waitlist. They may not have any spots open and even if they do, it's probably just a few. So they may be trying to focus on their full-time class first because they have more seats available for that program.
