LOCI will go out soon, the nice lady in the admissions office said it would be helpful...I'm right there with you on the waitlist, fingers crossed!

I got the acceptance call yesterday didn't ask if there would be any money because my numbers are low enough that I don't think they would offer me anything just grateful to be in

Just got the Scholly offer: 9.5k/y, but Im out of state, so I would still be looking at an expensive date. 2 questions, please:
1) how easy/difficult is it to obtain residency after the first year?
2) what are the negotiation prospects vs. higher T14 acceptances / $$$ from WUSTL or GW
thanks!

1) Texas is very difficult to become a citizen in.

2) They have a matching program, so very easy if you have money from T14, dunno if you don't have money from other t14 and I doubt you'll get much for WUSTL or GW.

No problem. If you have GREAT offers from WUSTL or GW, you may be able to get something, but Texas is "cheap" already, so you may be hard pressed without $$ offers from T14s.

Any chance $35,000/year from BU/WUSTL is "GREAT"? I'm going to try either way. I figure the worst they can say is no.

I do not know anything about scholarship negotiation but I can tell you it's nearly impossible to get in-state status for any Texas public school if you are originally out of state.

I think they said 168/3.6 is the general cut off line where they stop blanketing scholarships for non-URMs, so I think you have a shot at least some money.

Hey guys, quick question. I got deferred from EA to RD. I wrote a pretty BAMF LOCI when that happened but I guess it still didn't overcome my LSAT score so I got waitlisted. Should I write another LOCI? Wait till after UT's first deposit deadline? Some other option?
Thanks for the advice.

I believe last year people got
in off the waitlist on April 14, which is actually the day before the deposit deadline. So if you were going to submit a LOCI, you may not want to wait til after the first deposit deadline.

It at Texas with schollie per phone call from the dean this afternoon. Submitted my app a few days before the deadline.
169/3.8
Out of state
It's my first acceptance this cycle, so some of the pressure is definitely off.

From the Facebook page: Monica Ingram- The majority of the travel scholarship offers were emailed yesterday. We may be sending a few more later in the week.

CONGRATS! If I may ask, how much was the schollie for? Hoping for an acceptance and scholarship, but thinking my LSAT just might not be high enough
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
