Mine was updated to say that a decision has been made and to watch for an email (since this morning), but I have not received any notification yet.

The last time I checked the status checker it said under review. Within an hour I got an email on my status. Applied ED, rejected. Hurts but I always knew Duke was a reach.

I've been UR since 11/21. I don't expect to get in but I'm hoping they saw something they liked!

I got in yesterday via e-mail! 3.78/169 non-URM, non-ED, non-PT. There is hope in the world still.

I applied 10/13 and went complete 10/17. I was under review for a while, my under review status changed again on 12/14 and then 12/16 it changed to the decision made/wait for e-mail.

Who knows exactly what did it, but I am non-traditional, have a bunch of WE and VE and have a wife and kids. I wrote what IMHO was a very specific, honest, and persuasive Why Duke essay.

I might be inconclusive evidence of a slight softening due to less apps....last year my numbers were about a 90% chance of WL. I didn't expect an answer this year until Feb. or so when they took their batch of maybe's and picked a few.

Happy Holidays to me I guess.

Sorry if someone has addressed this already, but does anyone know what a second mailing after the big acceptance package could be? I got an email today from my school's mail center saying I had an envelope from Duke, but I wasn't expecting anything else. Do they send a hard copy of the scholarship form?

My second mailing had another letter and a few pamphlets (about Duke in DC, etc). No scholarship form.

Hmmm... I got something about their faculty with a note (not handwritten, don't freak out anyone  ) from the dean.

Mm, I think we got the same thing. Signed letter from the Dean + other stuff.

Apologies for an undoubtedly stupid question, I haven't been following this thread (mainly because I don't have a chance in hell at Duke), but is their any consensus on what an update means? I've been UR for a bit and my date updated yesterday.

I think most not-PT people have had multiple updates (3-4) before getting in. I don't think anyone has been WLed non-PT, so at worst getting updated is a neutral sign.

It creeps me out when I get packages from Duke bragging about their professors that have represented Ted Bundy...

From what I hear... You got UR at least 2 times ( most of the time) 11/28 was my 1st UR

I have been UR since 11/14. I am RD not PT. I'm not sure if they've accepted many people with my UR date or whether I'm just SOL. I'm thinking it's a bit of both, but c'est la vie I guess.

Ugh...got a fall grades request via PT in November but I still haven't gotten my grade back for this 1 class, even though the final exam was 2 weeks ago(!). Emailed my TA but this is really annoying, especially since I'm supposed to graduate in a week too, lol.
