When do we need to complete the entrance counseling/send our taxes in?

I'm curious about this as well (and too lazy to search around the ASW.)

Well there's a surprise--just got an email about a 30k/year scholarship. I thought I was just gonna get the need-based grant they had already offered. Hmm...

Me too. I already got about $20K in need-based aid. I need help deciphering:

Congratulations! I am delighted to contact you with good news. Because of your outstanding academic achievements in combination with your financial need, you have been selected from the entering class of 2011 to receive a Law Center Scholarship award. This scholarship is in combination with any need-based grants you may receive or have received from Georgetown, and is for $30000.00 total for each of three years of study here at the Law Center.

So does this mean:

Merit Scholarship + Need Based Aid = $30K, or
Merit Scholarship + Need Based Aid = $50K?

!!!! Just got a scholarship email as well (well, sometime around 2, but just saw it).

It's for 35K/yr. I already had 25K for needbased aid.

So this means 10K/yr merit?

If there's nothing on the award, I would assume there's no stipulation except good academic standing. Most of the T-14 don't have class percentile requirements from what I've been reading/seen personally.

I can't think of any T20 that has a scholarship that stipulates anything other than good standing (which is usually like a 2.0).

Well, the mascot is a bulldog, though the name "Hoyas" comes from some convoluted story about a chant or something.

haha according to Wiki the mascot has changed types of dogs several times. I thought it was bulldogs since they gave me a bulldog sticker at a reception

My blood pressure is way too high right now from trying to figure out what exactly this means. How cryptic can one email be!!!!!

I wonder about this too. The email doesn't really say one way or the other if they guarantee you will end up with that much per year or if that's just based on the assumption that the need-based grant won't be reduced. The email also says you can check MyAccess for detailed information regarding the grant and scholarship, but I'm certainly not seeing the scholarship when I check.

Received an email yesterday asking me how much $$ I would need in order to consider going to Gtown. I do not know how to respond to this.

( I have a full ride at UT which they know about. )
