When did you submit your application? You should have received an email stating your application was complete, followed by an email containing a CaneID. Did you receive such email?
Hi thx I did get my email and i did create my account with caneid, but i can't see anything that talks about status check like in other schools.

Its not the same thing as other schools, you just click view admissions documents or whatever it says exactly when you log into the website.

Still ranked #2 in palm trees. Second only to Hawaii, which is like the Yale of Palm tree rankings.

While Miami may have dropped to #77, it is ranked #50 by the new USNWR Law Firm survey ranking.

In all seriousness, the rankings are pretty meaningless.

The drop in the rankings is upsetting to say the least... especially after they had been trending upwards the past few years.. then in one year, they dropped right back down to the bottom. Certainly not going to make it easier for the people still waiting to hear back from UF and FSU.. :|

Can someone tell me where these rankings are that people are talking about?

According to TLS Miami is 60...so I don't get the 77 thing...or why the rankings are so different

They were posted in the Discuss Your Law School area. I'd share the link but I'm posting from my phone. UF stayed at 47, FSU rose to 50.

New rankings came out last night. It will take a while for TLS to be updated to reflect them.

Not sure about UM specifically, but hopefully someone that's already withdrawn can help. I know some schools have a specific form, while others accept email or a formal letter.

I sent an email as well as the scholarship letter notifying admissions that I was denying the scholarship offer. Haven't heard anything back yet but hopefully the email is sufficient.

Can anyone explain why Miami dropped so far? And is it that big of a deal really? They jumped 11 the year before. It seems like there are constant fluctuations in the rankings. Should I be worried if I go here?

No its really not a big deal. Only a few points separate it from the schools ranked in the upper 50s and low 60s. It honestly means nothing. However, with that being said, and despite how badly I want to live and work in Miami, the market down there is terrible and the school is too expensive.

I'm as sad about this as anyone.

is it bad to reply to the waitlist offer if you haven't even received notification by their system yet and was only able to see that letter via the link provided on here?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
