Decision letter sent 12/3
im having a hard time believing decision sent = definite acceptance, but that would be swell.
edit: your profile says 3.6?
I don't know whether to feel hopeful or doomed lol

Well we're mostly just assuming, since they've never rejected people in December before, that people whose status checker changed to "Decision letter sent" -> in.Lovely Ludwig Van wrote:Sorry for being a complete noobie to this thread, but how are people founding out that they are in/out today?

Folks have been getting "Decision letter sent" status updates and assuming they're acceptances (rejections don't often come early in the cycle).Lovely Ludwig Van wrote:Sorry for being a complete noobie to this thread, but how are people founding out that they are in/out today?

I guess I'll have to wait for the "submitted in October but still hasn't gone UR" batch. FMLOLKili wrote:Good luck to everyone!
I'll be waiting for the 11/16 UR batch.

Also, serious congratulations to everyone getting decisions!

Re: NYU 2011
I guess I'm still a little skeptical, the decision graph for NYU 2009 hasn't exactly played out the same way in 2010, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Re: NYU 2011
Last year's sent/decision spreadsheet:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... y=CPP1-r8L
Note that there just seemed to be one huge wave of acceptances postmarked on 12/1 that people chose to report as 12/1 or when they got the letter, and then smaller batches. I personally think they're doing things differently this year (esp with the status checker).

Re: NYU 2011
Where is everyone who got the status change from? Perhaps they change it later if they think you'll get the mail later? Like New Yorkers who will get it tomorrow maybe get the change today. Midwest a day later, West Coast 2 days later? Just a thought.

Re: NYU 2011
Is anybody else who submitted around 11/1 or earlier still processing?
I'm getting a little frustrated--applied ED 11/1, e-mailed them on 11/11 to let them know I wanted to withdraw from ED because my financial situation had changed, and got a couple "Ok, no problem, your file has been amended" e-mails from them. Then, two days ago, I got an e-mail asking me for my early decision contract, as if I hadn't already withdrawn from ED. I e-mailed back the same information as before and haven't gotten a response back. I don't have auto-admit numbers, and my hopes were basically predicated on a little leniency, a good PS/why NYU, and being reviewed early in the cycle. I don't know whether I'm still processing because of their fuck-up or just by luck of the draw...is anybody else from 11/1 or earlier still in the processing boat?? Anybody?? I'm losing hope
