Only New Glarus beer I've ever tried is Scream IIPA, and that was really, really good. Spotted Cow is a cream ale, so I'm guessing I'd try it once and never return. Not a style I enjoy.

Houston doesn't pay as much though. I don't want to sacrifice to much pay if I forsake NYC big law. I like the idea of Atlanta, but though starting pay is close it looks like raises are not very generous. Texas seems really cool to me in theory.theugg wrote:It's nice in that it looks pretty and proper. It's well organized and generally clean. There is a lot of nice art and Uptown is fun for young professionals. BUT it definitely has a new money vibe and can be very snobby.Generally wrote:How is Dallas? I've never been. I still prefer it to Houston.

It's the best beer in Wisconsin. I doubt that you would never go back. It's so good super cold and in a keg.The Abyss wrote:Only New Glarus beer I've ever tried is Scream IIPA, and that was really, really good. Austin is the best! But I imagine a conservative might feel differently.theugg wrote:It's okay. Pretty touristy. I don't have a ton of experience there.... Definitely prefer Austin or Dallas.pleadthafif wrote:Hey ugg how is San Antonio? I've never been but I hear it's really cool for a city its size. Sorry this is more for my own curiosity, not really for big law prospects haha.
And yeah, Texas is pretty cool. It's definitely got a very unique culture that you can't find anywhere else. The cities are very diverse (Houston is the most diverse in the US) and actually vote Democratic, but you still see cowboy boots and country music mixed in. The further you get from the city, the more conservative and stereotypical "Texan" you get.
Austin is my favorite, by far. Very liberal and artsy and beautiful.
