Today my journey ended Rejection around 3ish eastern. 173/3.5x, submitted October, no JS1.

You guys are all lovely people. I hope those left have great news in their future. I'm very sorry to those who don't.

I see lots of fireball in my future tonight.

Do all of you have JS1s? This week's waves seemed to knock out a ton of people who were waiting from Sept, Oct, Nov, and December ... with and without JS1s.

This makes me really think that I'm going to be rejected tomorrow or during the next ding wave (if it's coming up soon at all). I honestly don't understand how I'm still under consideration ..

Hang in there guys!!! Just a few more "waves" to get through.

For the record, last cycle Friday the 5th (which seems to be corresponding to the 28th this year) was a huge WL day, and then there were straight JS2s on Monday the 8th, mostly for fairly recent completes but also some look backs.

It doesn't seem like JS2s have quite caught up with our JS1 date range yet, so, given JS's emphasis that they are still processing apps on a rolling basis in her latest blog post, there may still be hope!

wasn't the facebook group count at this time last year over 500 people? I remember reading that on the c/o 2016 thread a while ago so I may have remembered wrong but it seems like this cycle is still a little behind.

The WL isn't a terrible place to be if you're not deferring, but ya, a lot of people are going to be playing the WL game soon.

So I just realized that JS made the waitlist post on the 4th last year and then it came out the next day.....

It's going to happen today.

So... gigantic waitlist wave tomorrow (I guess technically today), followed by JS2s on Monday? Or both WL and JS2s tomorrow?

I think I remember a couple of people mentioning a little while ago that after their interviews, JS said that a decision would be made by April 1... am I right about that?

Last year the WL came out on Friday the 5th then JS2s on Monday the 8th. I'm thinking that will happen again, though I wouldn't be surprised to see some JS2s in the miix tomorrow.

I think people were saying that their interviewer mentioned decisions going out by April 1st.

I feel like it is a pretty bad place to be if you're not 100% set on Harvard, though.... I would probably go if all else was equal, but it would be hard to turn down CCN with $$ if I don't even have the opportunity to visit for ASDs and actually check it out.

Good point. I speak as someone who has Harvard at the top of their list by a fair bit, so my perceptive will be different.

I'm in Asia. I won't be able to sleep tonight. As someone said above, it feels like I'm waiting for an ax to fall on me. Rolling admissions system is like execution.

Don't sweat it man, I think you'll get a JS2 on Monday. They still have a recent batch of JS1s to catch up to, and last cycle straight admits occurred even after the WL came out.

I'm pretty sure there were multiple WL waves last year, although if it's true that all decisions will be rendered by April 1 then that might not be the case this year....

Ultimately, if that scenario occurs, I wouldn't read too much into it; there's really no way of predicting what Harvard's going to decide to do. There's certainly no way of determining that you will "probably get a js2"
