Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Sorry for the late update.
Ding at 2:50 EDT via email. I truly had no business applying and am as surprised by this ding as I was to find out I still had two feet when I woke up this morning.
<<<25th GPA, 50-75th LSAT
Submitted 4 Oct, complete 10 Oct.
It's been fun dreaming!

Lurker here - for Feb LSAT takers, complete early March, think there's any hope of a JS1? Or did we miss the only tiny wave (was there a wave?)?

You guys are all lovely people. I hope those left have great news in their future. I'm very sorry to those who don't.
I see lots of fireball in my future tonight.

Hard out there for a splitter today.
I'd say there is still hope, as people get JS1s even while on the waitlist. Going complete so late will likely cut your chances though.Lurker here - for Feb LSAT takers, complete early March, think there's any hope of a JS1? Or did we miss the only tiny wave (was there a wave?)?

Dinged exactly four minutes ago. JS1 mid-Nov, 25gpa, 75lsat.
Surprisingly sanguine; I'm boarding a flight to nyu to interview for the rtk but I think I'll be back here on the hls 2018 thread next year.
Best luck to everyone; whether you do it at harvard or elsewhere, I'm sure you all will have an awesome next three years.

I'm so sorry bro. If you really want HLS try again next year; your application will only be stronger, especially given how young you are (Spivey says being really young can be an issue).rseaney wrote:Dinged exactly four minutes ago. JS1 mid-Nov, 25gpa, 75lsat.

Thanks for all the support guys. Ya as much as I would've loved to drive straight thru and be 23 with a JD, I've got to admit taking a year off will probably be good for me. Hope I'll meet some of you in Cambridge fall 2015drawstring wrote:I'm so sorry bro. Holy effing crap. So sorry, but I remember reading anecdotes of people who reapplied the following year and HLS liked that they were persistent. Still, best of luck to you in your interview, though- I'm sure you'll kill it.rseaney wrote:Dinged exactly four minutes ago. JS1 mid-Nov, 25gpa, 75lsat.

I can't believe they're dinging this late at night. Today has been so sad and confusing!

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I don't see how this could be true. The deadline was extended to March 1, and no one who went complete after January has heard yet, correct? Have people who went complete in January even heard? I feel like a lot of posters here submitted very early in the cycle and believe themselves to be destined for the WL, and maybe that is true, but what about those of us who submitted later? Or is this just wishful thinking?drawstring wrote:Dinging at 8:00 ----> pushing to get the WL out tomorrow?

Honestly, I think applying late is going to hurt you, and maybe that's through being waitlisted even with a strong application. I believe several people who went complete in January have already been accepted.

Pretty sure there are people ITT who went complete and interviewed in February and have been accepted.liammial wrote:I don't see how this could be true. No kidding.manu6926 wrote:I think a massive WL wave is likely tomorrow.drawstring wrote:Dinging at 8:00 ----> pushing to get the WL out tomorrow?
But I hope the WL wave will be accompanied by a JS2 wave as well.
Oh God I really wish I would get my acceptance email tomorrow. I'm so sick of all this "Did you get in yet?" from people around me.
More generally I'd just like to have some sense of where I'm going.

I didn't apply that late, though--I applied in January and went complete in late January.drawstring wrote:Honestly, I think applying late is going to hurt you, and maybe that's through being waitlisted even with a strong application. Either way, I don't see much reason to doubt that the WL will be coming out soon, especially in light of the recent blog.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
