Thanks. I'm holding out! I've been on waitlist since Jan 21!!!
I've unsubscribed from so many listhosts so that I don't get excited when the LED red light flickers hoping it is Laura.

NaiveHope--you and I are in the same boat! I die everytime I see the LED light--especially when I am at work and can't check it!!!!!! I am thinking we all will start to hear stuff starting around July after the June 30 refund deadline.NaiveHope wrote:Thanks. I'm holding out! I've been on waitlist since Jan 21!!!

WMCowgirl - where did you hear about that refund deadline? So those can still recall their deposit by that time? I'm the worlds most impatient person...and this is killing me!!!

if you're in off the waitlist, you aren't eligible for that 50% refund

right. i think there are a few other stipulations - if you ED or if you deferred from last year, etc.. but for his/her purposes, they would be concerned with potential waitlist movement so this is the next big date for them.

Am I correct in thinking that people aren't being offered spots on Fridays?

Re: American U
I'm sure we won't hear anything on Fridays since they only give 24 hrs to make a decision and a payment so it would have to be next business day.

Has anyone submitted a LOCI? Do we just send it to our admission's counselor? In the body of an e-mail?

Re: American U
Yes you send it to your counselor. You can send it in the body of the email or as a word attachement. Whichever you feel more comfortable with.
Good luck!

I am so glad everyone is still posting. Somehow I take comfort in knowing there are others who are hoping/wishing/wanting just as much as me!

I look at desperation and rejection straight in the face and say..."don't I know you?"
I'm hanging in there. I'm really hoping for American and so I'll just have to ride it out.

We're all here waiting. We hope, me especially, that enthusiasm and well written LOCI's (that demonstrate good writing ability) can help us get our foot in the door, but its probably all a numbers game at this point. Somtimes I feel like saying "Hey, Im friggin tired of waiting on this list! Tell me yes or no! Dont waste my time!", but then I think that you never know what could happen and they might let me in at some point in the upcoming weeks. The worst case scenario would be if they let me in right before classes start. That would be bittersweet...
Good luck to all! Keep hoping!

Re: American U
Yup. Im seriously considering graduate school. Ive been looking at the GRE and I feel so much more comfortable with it. When I first looked at the LSAT it was so confusing to me and even after spending weeks preparing for it I still felt uncomfortable. I'm hoping that with enough preparation I can do well on the GRE and get into a good grad school. Then again, thats exactly what I said with the LSAT and law school. Ha!
I want to get in to AU off the waitlist, but if it doesnt happen then Im not going to feel that bad. It just wasnt for me this year. I think learning more about the profession and how things work in law school has really opened my eyes. I thought it was get into law school, get by, and then find a $100k+ job. How wrong I was. I had no idea what the reality really was. I'd still like to go because I'm geniunely interested by law and all that, but we'll see what happens.

Hey all:
There is a June 30th registration deadline for admitted students to secure their seat. I would imagine after that deadline they will have a firm idea of how many slots they'll have open for wait-listed applicants.

Re: American U
I am not 100% sure WHY I am doing this, but I am retaking the LSAT next Monday. I am hoping my score goes up and American is so impressed they take me off the waitlist. Think of me friends, on Monday, June 7th. I will be needlessly torturing myself!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
