Have been incomplete at USD pending my February LSAT since yesterday and today I have a decision letter pending. 3.02/168. Live in San Diego so hopefully the letter gets here soon. Anyone with similar numbers get $$?

not necessarily. from what the dean of financial aid said on ASD they are pretty much waiting right now to see how things shake out after the first seat deposit deadline on apr 15th. so there may be some scholarships offered between now and then, depending on how many people withdraw before then, but it sounds like the next wave of scholarships will go out AFTER april 15th. i agree, totally frustrating.

I've heard one or two people say that they're "out of money" until more people withdraw on this thread and some others, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but perhaps that's just what they say to students to whom they don't want to give $$. It's a lot easier than saying no. Kind of a polite brush off.

I don't know, maybe that's just wishful thinking since I'm hoping to get some scholarship info next week

Ugh. I just hate the fact that I went complete in mid-November and my application hasn't even been looked at by the adcoms from what I understand. At a certain point, it is sort of rude... Judging from the fact that they did the same sort of crap with similar applicants last year (LSN), I am thinking they should send out another wave of acceptances in late March?

Well, I am originally from San Diego, currently go to a private Christian university about ten minutes from USD. I have spent a ridiculous amount of time in the USD gym and partaking in...questionable activities in and around campus. It's not a top choice per say because I've been here for a long time and would love to take in other parts of the country, but with that biglaw in SD is a great goal for me. I have a large network in San Diego because of family and work so I won't be hard pressed to come back but Wake Forest is looking pretty good right now haha.

I'm not actually sure when I went complete because I was held at incomplete barring my February LSAT and when they got it the decision turned over almost immediately. I was not complete last week.

I just got a decision rendered last week!! now I'm waiting for hte letter...

does anyone know if they are rejecting people yet?
could this be an accept, reject, or waitlist?

If LSN sheds any light on your situation, it could mean anything. Check it out here:

I see tons of green dots (accepts), 2 red dots (rejects), and no yellows. I'd like to think it means you're in. But they could also be prepping for a wave of yellows and reds. But remember that LSN is no more than a sampling of those who choose to log themselves.

EDIT: You'll have to figure out where you fall on the graph.

Looks like those of us who haven't been accepted yet will have to wait until people start withdrawing which makes me wonder why they wouldn't just put us on a waitlist.

i applied here, went complete back in january, still waiting to here back, numbers 161/3.3. this is among my top three choices (loyola and santa clara are the others-still waiting to here back from those as well). this school is on my radar because of its ranking, but i am beginning to feel like it is inflated? i am most interested in real estate and ip law, and loyola and santa clara are better choices for those fields. i am from los angeles, want to attend school in california (especially after 4 years at the university of wisconsin) so should i still have usd on my radar?

I think it's more likely that if they waitlist us we might just say forget it and withdraw but if they dont send us anything when they finally give us a decision there is a better chance we will go

It could be any number of reasons why they, and other schools for that matter, haven't gotten back to plenty of applicants yet. Let's face it: they said they'd make decisions through April, and they meant it. We're just being impatient. I don't think we can really predict much as far as whether that means we get accepted, rejected or waitlisted.

FINALLY complete after submitting my app in the beginning of January.

Now hopefully they make a decision sometime this century...
