hmm.. My GMU acceptance and your rejection just boosted my morale.

Not to be disrespectful, of course. :D I'm a part of the 1/20 DR crew. Who knows, I might be getting dinged.

So when a school makes a decision on your application relatively quickly, I mean just a couple of weeks. Is that generally a good thing or a bad thing?

During this period of W&L's application process, yes, it's a good sign. But I'd be wary of applying this one scenario to other schools. I received my rejection from UT ten days after I went complete; albeit, I applied EA. In other words, the general notion is that the earlier the news is, the better it is, but its a notion - not a rule.

I'm at work, so won't get to mail until later. Fellow 1/20 batch-ers, please camp by your mailboxes then run back inside and post the results! :)

Hoping 1/20 is not a mixed one...

I'm in FL so I'm hoping the 2 day time-frame will apply. Mail comes between 12 and 1pm, I haven't entirely rejected the thought of camping by the front window and will post as soon as the mail comes.

There's one person on LSN who updated a few minutes ago who is 1/20 -> accepted.

Let's hope that doesn't mean they received the letter on 1/20.

Congrats! Where did you have the letter sent? I'm in San Diego and I'm thinking the weather might delay the mail a bit.

I'm in Virginia. A couple of hours away. Might take a couple extra days to get to the locations you mentioned. Probably Monday.

Is anyone planning on going to the Open House in April? They pay up to $300 for you to go.

I just got a call from roommate who checked the mail for me. DR and DM on 1/18 and i got waitlisted. I am so damn relieved that i wasn't outright rejected. If someone on this thread does not want to go to W&L i would be eternally grateful if you withdrew!

Depending on whether or not I get any money when that goes out, I will likely be withdrawing.

I will be withdrawing for certain within the next few days. Laziness and clouds are keeping me from doing so.

YES! hopefully there arent hundreds of people in front of my in the waitlist. W&L is a school i can really see myself at. I would love to go there, so if you are withdrawing i thank you sincerely.

Also, do they give people off of the waitlist scholarships?

I was complete 1/15, today it changed to complete 1/22. Does it mean anything at all besides that they probably looked at my application? Thanks
