But like....where are the decisions

My gut feeling: a large bunch of rejections today and tomorrow, with possibly the WL'ed, and some admits. A last wave of admits next weekend. Then a very small trickle of admits, rejections and maybe a few WL until the end of April.

Not sure about rejections. Last year on the 2nd of April they conducted admit calls. Anything is fair game, but I suspect their priorities are not rejections right now, but admits in order to secure them for the Fall.

I would agree, but DeanAsha tweeted on Tuesday that rejections should be sent out within a week.

All the admissions office needs to do when they reach a decision to reject is to tick a little box on the LSAC file that says "denied". Then, whenever they get to it, they press a button--that I can only imagine is very large and gleaming red---that says "send rejections". And then, around 4:30am on the next Sunday morning, we all get a nice generic email that thanks us for our interest in YLS and congratulates us on our achievements so far, but unfortunately blablabla.

My gut feeling (given those recent tweets): that big rejection wave will be this weekend. Possibly next weekend, but this weekend seems more likely. Anyway, if you went complete before 1/15 (or maybe even 2/1), you probably have your answer already. WL at best. Otherwise there still is some hope. For a few hours.

20-25% of the seats in the class still available. I find it hard to believe all of those seats will be filled by people that applied in February or later. I would guess January applicants are still very much in play. Plus, there could be some "11s" from earlier in the cycle that have been on hold since faculty review.

Just to be clear: I'm just a dude on a forum, I have zero insider info . Also, it doesn't really matter what the truth is, nothing is under our control anyway.

I didn't realize there were that many seats left over. So yes, for what it's worth, there may be some marginal candidates from earlier who might get a last minute admission, and maybe January completes are still in play.

There is *no way* that 20%-30% of the class is going to be made up of people who went complete February (or the few days it was open in March when the deadline was extended). Haven't February completes been admitted already in the last wave?

I thought it was mainly January completes in the last wave, but I might be wrong. That still leaves all the February completes, and all the March completes (lotsa people: most people who submitted in February and all the last-minute March applicants). Plus the marginal candidates from earlier. 25% of seats for all these people doesn't sound crazy high to me, but then again, what do I know ...

That's probably very true. If you do get in, I would highly recommend that you (and anyone else in the same situation who reads this) accept another offer and leave your spot at YLS to some dumb chump who falls for these cheap marketing tricks.

When is ASW? I need a date where if I don't here by then, I won't go to ASW no matter what. I can't imagine trying to book tickets a day out or something.
