Re: USC c/o 2019 Applicants Thread (2015-2016)
I actually wouldn't send an updated resume. I went complete on 1/11/2016 and have a resume change. I called the admissions office yesterday asking if they welcome updates. The lady straight up said "that's not enough to make a decision, we admit tons of applicants who do not work." And she told me not to send any new information...

On the USC Application Complete email back in January, it statesparneh wrote:I actually wouldn't send an updated resume. I went complete on 1/11/2016 and have a resume change. ONCE COMPLETED, WE CANNOT ADD DOCUMENTS TO A FILE UNLESS THERE IS A MAJOR UPDATE, SUCH AS A NEW JOB POSITION OR INTERNSHIP. THE EXCEPTION TO THIS IS LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION. "
so I'm hoping it doesn't hurt to send an update especially since I have a new job position....

Has anyone succeed negotiating scholarship? I haven't heard back from most of my schools yet (kill meeee) so I don't really have any good reasons yet.. but if anyone has succeeded, what was your strategy? And how much??

You can try, but I also had a new job position (but within the same company) and she wasn't having it...

Yeah, I think we're screwed. Not sure about you folks, but my numbers are a ways below the medians. I was hoping WE and upward trend would give me a shot.

FWIW, DF usually follows the email within like 5 hours. I'd say if you don't get an email by tomorrow afternoon, you're gonna get the ding via snail mail

Re: USC c/o 2019 Applicants Thread (2015-2016)
Morning everyone,
I know someone earlier asked, and probably more out there not asking, but I talked to Fin Aid yesterday about the acceptance deadline - Mary confirmed that accepting the scholarship does not finalize it. Her exact words were "that is not the purpose of the acceptance requirement"; my assumption is so that the rejected funds can be used for other students.
Hopefully this alleviates some concerns for y'all.

Part of me is wondering if they just saw my application, laughed, and threw it in the trash.
