Technically it could be that your decision was mailed out within the 3 week timeline.
I checked the thread from last year and it says some ED applicants did not even get any notification within five weeks...
Whether those guys eventually get admitted? Or only an email telling them bad news after the whole waiting?

I'm not sure. There is no follow up.

To all of the accepted candidates itt, if you have a choice between two similar schools, give significant weight to p/f LRW. My personal valuation is around 3 preftige spots or $50k in scholarship dough.

So why you RD people have got a decison but a ED submitted before you haven't yet.

Honestly, I'd bet it's because they know you're a captive audience, per se. Because you've already committed yourself, they know that they can give you an answer a bit later and still have you as students, whereas for many of us submitting RD they want to get a jump on other schools and incur favor with those they think they might lose to other places we're applying.

It just seems rude to do that to EDers, especially those beyond the 3 week timeframe because they are preventing them from EDing elsewhere.

Received acceptance letter yesterday. Letter was dated 11-16 and postmarked 11-17. My application was complete around 11-3.

I think they will correspond with your current address although I am not sure because my permanent and current address are the same thing so unfortunately i am of no help here

It was sent to me through my current address, and that's also the one on my status checker. All of my other mail from random schools that solicit me is being sent to my permanent address though FWIW
