But seriously, what would a male and male-identifiers only thread look like? I'm not sure that's a world I want to live in.

I had the same thought.
Sadly, it probably basically looks like this one with a possible misogyny multiplier.
Probably like 95% of the lounge. There are some pretty awful threads in there and I can't tell if they're serious or not, but either way they make me genuinely sad/concerned about my future in law....

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about it. As wrong as it is, anonymity gives people the power to say horrible things that they would never say in person.

Edit: Also, they're probably just doing it to get a reaction out of people and don't really think that way (at least I hope).

Yep, that's definitely true - though it suggests that our future colleagues are at least thinking these thoughts, even if they don't voice them. Anyway, I expect a certain level of general awfulness on any internet forum, but what surprises me more is the fact that no one/very few people call out the blatant misogynists on their shit.

Though I totally understand not wanting to get into internet arguments over the dumb things people say.

Your edit addressed some of the same things I said - I hope you're right about them! Anyway, even if you are right and things are rosier than I imagine, it just goes to show that women do have reason to worry about these things in professional settings, and especially law - and even our most well-intentioned, feminist male friends may not always be attuned to it as we are.

Lots of sperry topsiders, salmon colored shorts, & oxfords with popped collars? Though earlier discussion makes me think some of the people here are more of hipsters than bros.
I enjoy all of what you listed, minus popping the oxford collars. However, yes, there are certainly more hipsters than bros on this site. You should check out the bros thread in the lounge. It's simply a collective of good dudes.

Does anyone wanna give a synopsis of the Shump Saga for those of us who haven't heard it? He keeps being brought up..

If boats and pastels are wrong, I don't want to be right.

Already doing a college league and I don't watch much pro football, but what the hell. Sign me up. Team no packers no bears and no vikings players.
