Why don't you think today will be a decision day? (other than the no tweeting?) I thought they didn't start til at least 11 AM EST on past #DF.

They've tweeted about each Decision Day this cycle and I don't see why that would change, especially since they're getting such a great response to it. More importantly, we haven't seen waves of UR2s this week. The weeks of previous Decision Days (12.18, 1.9, and 1.16) each featured four days of UR2s. There has been at most one this week (1/22). Maybe this is because it's a shorter week and they're catching up for a push next week; maybe it's because 1.16 was such a full Decision Day they need to accumulate more UR2s.hecktate wrote:Why don't you think today will be a decision day? That's some analysis -- nice. In all selfishness I'm just hoping for at least a wave of UR2s here.nickhalden wrote:They've tweeted about each Decision Day this cycle and I don't see why that would change, especially since they're getting such a great response to it. We think it means your application is being read by the second reader. It's the final step before a decision is made, although the decision can take quite a while as our UR2 tracking shows on the previous page. It's definitely a good thing!DiniMae wrote:I have UR2 today. So behind on this thread...no idea what it means.
Dear Penn, if this is how dedicated I am to your admissions process just think how dedicated I will be to attending and achieving at your school!! Sincerely, nickhalden (PS I'm UR2 Class of 1/8)altf4 wrote:That's some analysis -- nice. In all selfishness I'm just hoping for at least a wave of UR2s here.

Re: University of Pennsylvania Law School C/O 2018 Applicants
From what I understand, most schools don't pull people off until at least May. Maybe more people than we think double deposit? It's definitely a good question though. You would think tons of spots would be open after the first deposit.downbeat14 wrote:So, I wrote an LOCI along with accepting a spot on the wait list, just to keep options open. But I'm wondering about one thing. They say pretty outright on the WL email that they won't being taking ppl off the wait list until May. Is this how it actually plays out, or is this just what they say so people annoy them less and actually start taking ppl off the WL earlier? I would assume tons of people would have already deposited at other (often better ranked) schools. Why would they wait that long??? Seems like they are potentially losing tons of ppl that way.

Re: University of Pennsylvania Law School C/O 2018 Applicants
I'm optimistic. Only 27% of our classmates on TLS have had decisions and Monday will be two and a half weeks since our UR2. As a whole, we will probably see an unhealhy amount of WL and dings, although fewer than the 1.16 Decision Day. If 1.16 was any indication, UR2 c/o 1/15 should have more than other classes. I'm curious if this week really was actually quiet on UR2s or whether the people receiving them aren't as active on TLS.Cantwaitanylonger wrote:+1, class of 1/8 needs some more loving
Also, @PennLawAdmissions fixed the typo haha

Is it bad that I was only UR1 for 5 days including weekend. LSP gave me 40% in with my number or lower, so I am on low side. But I am ED. Does this mean anything? Someone please help.

When was your UR2?MC1980 wrote:Is it bad that I was only UR1 for 5 days including weekend. LSP gave me 40% in with my number or lower, so I am on low side. But I am ED. Does this mean anything? Someone please help.
And no, this isn't abnormal. I was UR1 1/5 and UR2 1/8. Don't look at LSP - put your numbers into mylsn.info and see what past history indicates.

Re: University of Pennsylvania Law School C/O 2018 Applicants
Hi guys! So I'm UR2 c/o 1/12, but then this past week my status changed to UR3 1/20 and I got an email saying a bunch of nice things and asking for my Fall 2014 grades. I was just wondering if people thought this was a good sign or not? My GPA is right about at their 75% and hasn't changed at all so I guess that's good?
Thanks for the help! Hoping everyone has good news on Monday!
