better late than never, but admitted back in early Nov, scholarship offer last week. was seriously stressing when some people reported less than a week turnaround on scholarship money, but I'm thrilled.

They seem to be giving out quite a bit of money, curious if they have a large donor, or just in it for the long play.

WUSTL may be regarded as mediocre by some TLSers, but its med school and UG are top of the line.DCfilterDC wrote:Ditto.Edlund wrote:Got the scholarship email.

WUSTL is loaded, and the campus is as beautiful, if not not more so, than some of the best schools in the country. My 3 best friends attended HYS, respectively, and I vistited all three schools several times during undergrad - WUSTL certainly holds its own with these schools in terms of endowments and academic facilities. I'm from St Louis, fwiw.

I definitely don't view WUSTL as mediocre, and in fact really love the vibe to it. Just don't really have a strong sense on where it should rank as an option for me personally considering other options. Hopefully I'll have that figured out by April.PeanutsNJam wrote:WUSTL may be regarded as mediocre by some TLSers, but its med school and UG are top of the line.DCfilterDC wrote:Ditto.Edlund wrote:Got the scholarship email.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
I received an email from Will Fruhwirth about a week and a half ago stating that if my GPA improved, I could be eligible to receive more money. I just got my grades back and they did improve (I had a really good semester). I'll be sending a new transcript to LSAC after the break to update my academic profile, but I'm curious. Am I the only one who received this email? I scanned through the last few pages and didn't see anyone mention anything like it.

I did not receive an email like that, but I'd love to know if that would apply to LSAT improvement as well??PN-G bamakid wrote:I received an email from Will Fruhwirth about a week and a half ago stating that if my GPA improved, I could be eligible to receive more money. I remember seeing someone mention a thread that addressed Michigan/T14 at near sticker vs. WUSTL with a large scholarship earlier in this thread but can't find it now...could anyone point me in the direction of that thread?
