I ran to grab my computer and refresh my statuses. Thank goodness, I don't think I could take getting 3 WL's on the same day.
I think I might just swear off these threads until a little later in the cycle when things actually start moving. For now, it's just annoying.

Deferred to regular admission pool this morning. Well at least it's not a rejection.

Shit

Another round of this??
When was your last update if you don't mind my asking? Was today your third one? I'm still [mercifully] stuck at 11/26.

Yep. Just hang in there! We knew going in that this cycle would get weird and probably drag out a while. It's incredibly frustrating, but I've no doubt it'll all work out fine in the end!

Also curious. Via status checker or email? Thanks, we'll all get through this...

I was at 10/11 for a while then I updated two days in a row (11/29 and 11/30) and turn I was emailed a decision.

OK, so it seems that their 3rd update=decision policy is sticking. Sorry to hear you have to wait longer now, but as you said, it's not a rejection! And congrats again on UVA!

Anybody care to shed some light on how people in the ballpark of 167/3.78 have fared through ED?
I was in this ballpark (slightly worse) and was accepted in the second wave back in October. Although I think very few non-URMS have been accepted with numbers like this, most people are being deferred.

I was accepted with 168/3.77 earlier this month. Was accepted with the same numbers last cycle (applying in March). Hope that helps!

I submitted on 11/13 and I'm still at "verifying materials for completion." Do you think it's time to call and make sure there's no issue with my app or just wait it out a little longer?

I submitted on 11/9 and I just went complete (11/29). I would wait until the end of this next week before calling.

I dont know, the Harvard thread scares me a bit. They're being all nice to each-other but you know the second they all get to Cambridge it is going to be straight up hunger games.
If this law school thing doesn't work out I might go get a PhD in sociology at Harvard just so could watch them all for three years.
get rdy

Somewhat off-topic but,

Genuinely curious about why you feel this would be more likely to occur at Harvard. If anything, I would imagine it would be more like:
I dont know, the
[school with standard grading system, a weaker LRAP and objectively worse employment prospects than HYS] thread scares me a bit. They're being all nice to each-other but you know the second they all get to
[host city, straddled with six-figure debt requiring Biglaw to pay off] it is going to be straight up hunger games.
Maybe I'm being naive here and I'm missing something

Yeah I concur. Columbia would be my choice for this mad-libs game here. Or UVA. Or GULC. IDK, have heard from current students Columbia is a bloodbath at times.
In other news, submitted today, still waiting on another LOR but figured just go ahead and send it in. Fee waived, woo!

I submitted 11/15 and am still on the same boat. I think it takes time to go complete.

Applied to Cornell about a month ago. Retook the LSAT today for true splitterdom and the T14. Checking in, dudes.
Cornell is holding my app via status checker for today's score as of 11/28.
168/3.35

Okay, good to know it took others a while too. I'll do my best to keep waiting it out. Thanks!

Im in a similar situation as you. App received 11/15 and still not complete. That does seem to be the norm though. I think they were taking care of early applicants first.

Cornell seems to be lagging this cycle. I submitted 10/18, went complete 11/7, and I'm still just complete.

I submitted 11/15 and still not complete. I think Cornell get s a ton of apps because it is the easiest t14 school to get into and their median dropped to a 167.

Cornell has a lower acceptance rate than Duke, Georgetown, UVA, and NYU.
