See, I have no idea, but I’m guessing trying to match scholarships using scholarships from much lower-ranking schools doesn’t work. Once again, I have no clue, but I’m thinking trying to get matching scholarships using peer schools would be more effective.

Depends on where you want to go. but probably.

You can leverage up the ladder. It doesnt have to go iowa/IUB to t14. It can go t30, t25, t20, t14 very easily. You may not get matching, but full ride one level down might get you half a level up

What's the rule of thumb for leverage as far as negotiating? For example, could I use Cornell to negotiate with CCN?

I know a girl who used 90k at Cornell to get either 90k or very close to 90k at Chicago.

I'm with you msblaw. Was 11/08 your second complete status date? Don't worry we both have amazing numbers! Would love the chance to go to Cornell for personal reasons.

To be fair I had seen no movement since my initial complete date of 11/1, so I've had no movement for longer than all of you complaining.

I've got same #s as Cornelius but went complete a few days later so I'm part of the 11/03 group. Given what we've seen so far this cycle I'm guessing the status change is an indication that another batch will be rolling out soon. I would put my money that it will happen sometime next Mon-Wed but I guess it could happen even earlier. The thing with Cornell though is at least they're consistent, i.e., always sending out acceptances early in the morning around 10 EST ish. I always check around at that time for movement and if there's nothing on either TLS or LSN I just assume it's not happening that day and move on with my day instead of obsessing over it

The first huge batches came out the week of 12/13 last year, so I would bet most of us have some time to wait.

Law school administrators have been known to look at the boards, I wouldn't be surprised if admissions people browsed through as well.
