I almost wet my pants just now. My phone rang, I looked at caller ID and saw a 206 area code and was so excited as I figured UW would only call to inform me of being admitted...

I was admitted, alright. To the U of Idaho. I hope I didn't sound deflated when the Dean told me.

After the call, I realized I misread the speed dial... 208 area code, not 206. I've never been so disappointed to be accepted to a school.

If you were a true Husky lover, you'd have been following this thread long enough to know that they don't make calls to acdmits!! (I do wonder why not though!)

So I got home and opened my mailbox, and a GIANT WHITE ENVELOPE was inside. But then the return address was Seattle U instead.

Not that I'm not happy to be accepted there with $$, but STILL.

UW is my top choice right now, but I've yet to get a decision, so technically Iowa is my top choice. WL'd at Minnesota, but I'd choose Minn over Iowa, and UW over Minn.

Because the "I like turtles" came out of nowhere. You could post the picture in a baking forum and say "I like cake" and it would be funny because the picture has nothing to do with the subject (cake), just like the kid's response had nothing to do with the question/scenario he was in.
