Don't care to check.
My cycle sucks. Thank you UIUC.

I think its probably just yield protection. They didn't think you'd actually attend due to being out of state and high LSAT--and you'd hurt their numbers. If/when I get the rejection letter, it won't be because I am over-qualified. Perhaps that takes some of the sting out?

Eh, being a splitter my target seems to be really small between reach and YP. I'm just venting frustration over all my WLs, don't mind me. I'm actually pretty happy with the idea of going to UIUC.

Info: In state, 3.6, 165
I definitely didn't feel good when I found out that they were deferring my EA into regular decision (applied in October), but it worked out

Haha, I'd still say you were a long shot for UT. You must have had one hell of an app. Congrats.
Congrats! I was a long shot too, I think UT Law really does look at more than numbers.

I feel ya. I knew I was a long shot, but was hoping the In-State status would help. Guess it's bye bye Austin. =(

Sorry guys that blows. Did your status checker change by chance? Texas is my first choice and I am on the west coast so I can't check my mail until after work =/

Under status updates, it says "Application denied 1/20/2011."
You cut me deep, Texas.

Congrats!!
I have pretty much resigned myself to expect a rejection. Why o why does Texas have to hate splitters so much.
