Just got my scholarship from W&L.

10K with a 167/3.4

No way I would pay 31K a year + COL at W&L. Definitely not worth that kind of $. I will be withdrawing soon.

I got three letters from them today and was sure one of them would be about scholarship info, but they were all invitations to join various law student organizations. I'm more than a bit disappointed.

the pattern seems to be a thursday release at 5, this january. nonetheless i have been checking my status all week on the wings of a prayer. slim shot, but it's a shot.

Seeing as how decisions have been rendered on Thursdays this whole month, has anyone received an e-mail yet saying they will get their decision today? Really anxious for my first decision of the cycle, and it looks like W&L will be the first one.

Does anyone know what the COL is in Lexington? I know it is low, but anyone have something more solid... like price of apartments, utilities, transportation?

Haven't found it yet, but here is the City-Data on Lexington.

Alrighty... Average rent is $538, (lower quartile is $374, upper quartile is $829), Median gross is $660

The data looks to be current to around 2009.

According to W&L "For off-campus housing, typical monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment can cost from $300-500, and a two bedroom apartment can rent for $500 - $900."

congrats.. just got in as well after submitting my app on 1/24 .. was pretty confused when I opened the e-mail because theres like 5 other schools i applied to on the 24th that havent even gone complete yet

First rejection, 3.47/163, was expecting it and W&L was not near my first choice because of the cost (60k/year for out of state) but I wasn't expecting to be rejected so quickly it took them 3 days. I could have made an error on the app but oh well.

W&L is a private institution...there's no difference between in state and out of state.

Damn straight up rejected. you could of at least WL'd me. Doubt I would of gone here anyway. Still alot of cycle left. Good luck everyone and congrats to everyone who got in.

Rejected, I applied late, but of course with their quick turn around, it was the first T1 school I heard back from. Oh well.
