Don't know about Marquette's zone, I'll look into it. I know that they can't be as tough as 'Cuse, given that they live and breath the 2-3 zone. They're also much much smaller than the big Orange.

I didn't really indicate this in my personal statement so much as I made metaphorical love to the state of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I ALMOST quoted Charles Kuralt:

Also nice to avoid having to play Syracuse in what would virtually be a home game for them in Newark.

Just talked to admissions and was told a wave of decisions will be going out this week. Apparently the admissions commitee is working on them right now.

I am in-state, still "ready for review". I know it's a broken record response, but the lady in admissions seemed pretty adamant that there will be decisions sent by the end of this week.

Definitely not. Dean States likes when you show that you really want to attend. My numbers were low to be a Chancellor's Finalist, but I was in part because I wrote 3 tailored specific essays for UNC and they were all beastly.

It's been crazy! LOL. My advisor is soooooo slow at reviewing my data analysis that I will now be finishing and defending by June 1 (even though Spring graduation is May 6 ). I've been reminding my advisor the deadlines were rapidly approaching, but she somehow didn't realize it, and now I can't get in the manuscript before the deadline and spring graduation. Anyway long story short, I don't have enough time for writing and edits for me to finish by the end of this semester, but I'm going to walk in May and then I'll be done by end of May/June 1 at the latest according to my defense timeline, so I'll technically be graduating this summer. As long as I'm done by August it's not a big deal, but I really don't want to rush from one degree to another.

Ahhhhhhh, I think we're in the same boat! Just as I was about to turn a draft into my advisor, I realized that I'd made a huge mistake in my STATA model, so my project is now a month behind and a lot more complex. I have no life.

Out of curiosity how are you both a splitter, and near the medians? Near median splitter sounds like a oxymoron.

I ask because I am a instate splitter (under 25% GPA above 75% LSAT)

EDIT: unless you implied 25% and 75% medians I suppose

I'm similarly a splitter (at least using the LSAC GPA). Aghhh....I just want to know.

Crap. I just got an email saying "UNC School of Law Fall 2011..." in the subject headline and went crazy. Then I saw that it was an email from a staff member in our department advertising planning-related classes in the law school next semester. Good lord.
