I'm hoping they're like Michigan and delay-reaction their "decision" status so we get letters tomorrow. But they could've just sent them today.ahemmer wrote:Decision letter sent.

Does anyone know if this reflects letters they actually sent today, or letters they may have sent yesterday/Wednesday? Has anyone whose status changed received mail today?

I feel like RD applicants have heard before ED ones in other threads this cycle too. I may be wrong though.gendefect wrote:Does it strike anyone else as weird that they're sending out a bunch of acceptance letters to RD folks first? +1. I was semi freaking out, but there were some people last year that submitted as early as mid september and only heard back at the end of december. So we're not for sure screwedabsolutazn87 wrote:SolidaritySentry wrote:Same here. It's ok. We're in this together.absolutazn87 wrote:Still UR.

Michigan definitely does RD people before/along with ED. The two schools I know off the top of my head who promise to get back to ED people first are Columbia and Chicago.valengina wrote:I feel like RD applicants have heard before ED ones in other threads this cycle too. so if we have a 10/20 UR date and didn't hear anything today, we're not definitely screwed?lakerfanimal wrote:+1. I agree. It was the same way with Michigan. The acceptances went out to the early applicants with auto admit type numbers then to the rest.mst wrote:I think the ones getting in now are just solid admits who turned in their apps early. ED'rs by nature are more questionable and take more time to look over. It makes complete sense that RD comes out first.
I'm holding out hope. Seems like the people who got in today:LegallyBlonde923 wrote:

1. Submitted early
2. Either had GPAs above 3.8 or LSATs above 175.
Most of us that haven't gotten news probably don't match criteria #2. But hopefully NYU's still got some love for the rest of us
