I'm okay with getting updated today OR Monday. At least it has to be one of the two. All this uncertainty has been driving me insane.
Big money, no whammies. Good luck everybody. Tommytahoe: Sorry if this made your gmail go off.

Yeah, but good news to start the weekend off would be lovely.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:I'm okay with getting updated today OR Monday. At least it has to be one of the two. All this uncertainty has been driving me insane.

Oh most certainly! I hope it IS today, and I hope it's good news. I'm just trying to play it cool so Georgetown does't think I'm desperate.danidancer wrote:Yeah, but good news to start the weekend off would be lovely.Encyclopedia Brown wrote:I'm okay with getting updated today OR Monday. I'm in the same boat. My only glimmer of hope is that they put me on the SPWL. I'm still completely puzzled as to why, but I'm taking this special opportunity and hoping for the best because being in contention for a school like this is amazing and I'm grateful for it.Teoeo wrote:Sigh, I know I have no shot, this is such a tease.

My only shot is that they let me on to the PWL and then follow that up with letting me on to the SPWL =Dsavesthedayajb wrote:I'm in the same boat. There is still time. If no one hears anything in the next 30-45min then let's start looking at Monday.danidancer wrote:No other movement's today? Day-um. Guess the 10th it is.

So... Monday, then? Hope we get more than a form letter saying "Well, we're evaluating our WL now, we'll keep you updated..."savesthedayajb wrote:There is still time. OK, Monday it is. Try not to hurt yourself with angst this weekend, everybody. Easy to say, not so easy to do, I suppose. Still, there's a whole weekend that could be filled with whatever you do for fun (drinking, baseball games, hiking, reading a novel in a cafe, cooking, etc etc etc). Those hours should not be filled with thoughts of Andy, Sophia, Alison, LOCI, or all that stuff!Encyclopedia Brown wrote:So... Monday, then? Bonjour tout le monde!
Long time reader, first time poster.
From GULC emails and this forum, it seems as if tom. is the day. I emailed the admissions committee about the (already passed) Gerwitz Student Center applications deposit, and the responder noted it would be no problem to join the lottery if we get in before the beginning of June. If not, we can get on the waitlist for housing, as movement often takes place mid-summer.
Any way, Good luck to all of you in the coming days

Re: GULC 2010 WL'ers
What is the connection between availability of student housing and movement on the wait list? I don't doubt that tomorrow's the big day. All of us sad sacks on this thread will be feeling every aching second of the day as we await the arrival of each of our respective GULC admissions emails. But how does student housing enter into the issue? Just wondering.MissLucky wrote:oh, interesting. so what percentage of the 1L class can typically get housing? as in, what is the physical capacity of the Gewirz 1L apts? i never really took that into account...i just assumed that every 1L could get Gewirz housing. am i wrong?lperso3 wrote:Bonjour tout le monde!

The information, even though it is about the student living situation, pertains to no one on the planet outside GULC wait listers. This thread is the only one containing people who may have wanted to submit that application, but were not able to.
