Re: Wake Forest 2010
I hate to post what is probably a silly question, but I received an email saying my application was complete and I would be notified via status checker of a decision, but I never received a status checker user name or password. Will this come when the decision is made or did Wake forget to send the email?

Congrats! When were you accepted? Still waiting on mine, admitted 1/28. Did it come via mail or e-mail?lawyerlover wrote:I just received scholarship notification!!! I am so excited Wake has moved to the top of my list.

The same thing happened to me. I was never provided a status checker for wake. I emailed and asked but it was during the meatier part of the cycle and they didn't get back to me. I got in so it wasn't a biggie.
If you call, im sure they will provide you with one, as they are extremely friendly and helpful.

I was accepted January 29th. I received an email notifying me of 18k a year which is a lot there since their tuition is typically mid-30k areakp009 wrote:Congrats! When were you accepted? i've been under administrative review since 2/2. Anyone know about how long it takes to get a decision after you go under administrative review?

Fellow 2/2er here. From what LSN shows, it appears that acceptances are handed out on Fridays every two weeks. This Friday, if the trend holds, would be the day to get your hopes up. I'm impatient even for that little window of time, but that's my guess.gogo wrote:i've been under administrative review since 2/2. Have people been going from Administrative Review straight to a decision? I thought most people go to Committee Review after Administrative Review before a decision.kwhitegocubs wrote:Fellow 2/2er here. Don't be too stressed- Wake says that scholarship money trickles out.
so I wouldn't worry about refreshing too often.

I've been in committee review since 1/20. I think that most people go through Committee review prior to a decision but it seems as though a small group of people have gone straight to Decision Rendered.traehekat wrote:Have people been going from Administrative Review straight to a decision? I did ask about scholarships and he mentioned they are rolling them out slower this year.....

Yea, I heard from a 1L girl and she was great! Wake Forest is so good with its admissions office and courting of prospective students. Tough decision between UNC and Wake. The admissions process for these two schools is like night and day. Wake just appears much 'friendlier' and responsive/efficient so far. I wonder if that translates into stronger alumni support for a Wake student.

I just bought my (ridiculous) plane ticket for the March 1 Open House. I'm so excited! North Carolina is pretty far from Washington state though. Is anyone else going to that Open House?

Re: Wake Forest 2010
Is Wake scholarship money derived from a specific scholarship from the following site?
--LinkRemoved--
If so, will we ever know which specific scholarships we were granted?

I got a phone call, too, but I sent it to VM since it came in as "unknown". I'll email her tomorrow.
Wake really is excellent at the soft sell, and their admissions department is top-notch.

Man, admin review since 12/3, updated today and still under admin review. I wonder what exactly takes them so long to read a file and decide whether to move it to committee or deny it. Of course, I guess it's better than an outright denial.

My date also updated to today but remained at Admin Review. Do you mind if I ask your numbers to see if we are comparable?jayce504 wrote:Man, admin review since 12/3, updated today and still under admin review.
