USD is definitely one of my top choices, and I don't mind waiting a little while. I'm more concerned about upcoming seat deposits (4/1).

What are seat deposit refunds like?

Does anyone know if the status check changes from "complete" to "in committee" or "under review" before DR? Complete since 1/21 here, and sick of waiting, too!

I went complete in mid NOVEMBER and heard in late FEBRUARY, almost 3 months.

got the packet today. no scholarship info though and the seat deposit is due april 15. will i get scholly info by then?

I still haven't received the email of the cost of USD with my scholly etc. like Veritas and some others received.... pretty frustrating having deadlines coming up and I'm not in at any school I REALLY want to go to.

Like pretty much everyone else, I received mine about two weeks after the acceptance packet. You should receive scholarship info before the deadline.

Your point is taken. However, I think my impatience has grown out of approaching the seat deposit deadlines a lot more than it has out of waiting. We're almost halfway through March and two weeks is not a lot of time to be making decisions (I have some April 1st deadlines). I'll have to pay for multiple seat deposits, but hearing from San Diego would help me eliminate certain ones and pay a much lower net amount.

I get it, they're backed up, and they're trying. It's just a bit frustrating at times.

No kidding. I already know that if I actually get accepted anywhere, I'll have to put a deposit down somewhere, and may end up losing it.

Nice on the relatively quick turnaround. I wish there was more available information as to why some people take a few days for a decision and others take months.

I'm pretty sure they have a system where they admit people they are certain they want almost instantaneously and if they aren't sure, they make you wait to see how things (what kinds of other applicants they have, how many other applicants there are, how many deposits they've received) shake out. I don't think it's solely based on numbers, as there are some people with great numbers who had to wait for a while.

This cycle of some people being admitted days later and others waiting months has been pretty consistent since this admissions period began.

not necessarily. from what the dean of financial aid said on ASD they are pretty much waiting right now to see how things shake out after the first seat deposit deadline on apr 15th. so there may be some scholarships offered between now and then, depending on how many people withdraw before then, but it sounds like the next wave of scholarships will go out AFTER april 15th. i agree, totally frustrating.
