I wrote several extra letters and even made a nerdy graph of upward gpa trend... how closely do they look at those and how much weight does the interview carry? Thanks for the help and good luck to all!

They might get you on the waitlist if you're not URM. I'd say your odds are almost nil, though.

Did anyone else apply for the various merit scholar programs at Vandy? The ones that offer tuition, stipends, etc to the applicants who are awarded the scholarships? I'm only asking because I'm wondering if this slows down the application process? Anyone know?. I applied to Vandy in October (have been complete since October) with zero updates. I've done an interview, I don't know Vandy's exact numbers but I imagine that I'm somewhere around the 75th percentile for GPA and LSAT and I have good softs. I'm just surprised I haven't heard a peep from them.

No it does not slow down the process. It is a separate process from admission and plenty of people who filled out the forms have heard back.
Did you sign up for the Virtual VULS site so that you can track your application status? If not, then do that and check if you were ever DM and maybe it went to the wrong address. If you have signed up, then I'm not sure want to tell you except to call them maybe and nicely ask if there has been any movement on your app

Congrats. I love their emphasis on interviews and personal statements this cycle (I was WL'd with a lower LSAT score).

So you really think they'll put a decent amount of weight on the interview and addendums?

Applied a little later than I thought, so I didn't get a chance to interview, which is upsetting. 168/3.75 though so I hope I still have a good shot. Complete 1/18.

Complete since 1/8 -- haven't heard anything since. No interview. Didn't know Vandy liked why Vandy essays.

DM 1/21 - Accepted with 167/3.9
They say to fill out the applications for the merit awards but they were all due on Jan. 10th? Anyone know if that deadline has truly passed or if they accept them late for students who just got accepted. (I didn't fill one out when I applied because I honestly didn't think I was going to get in.)
Also, anyone know what kind of merit aid people usually get APART FROM those specific scholarships?

Definitely. I'm not a URM, but I am non-trad. My interview went great and my interviewer and I continue to talk about law school on a weekly basis. I also called their accommodations office and talked with a professor that I had a connection to through my tutoring job. I made the extra effort and I think it paid off. We will see what rolls around in Feb.
