Re: Fordham Waiting Room
Question: for any of the high LSAT splitters that were WL today, were your LSDAS GPAs relatively close to your university GPA? Or were you screwed by the LSDAS? And any upward trends?

Waitlisted too. 165, 3.58, FT (my GPA is actually a weird story, but just pretend it's at Fordham's median.)
If it makes a difference, I applied Regular Decision. Sent in my app 11/09, went complete 11/16, and waitlisted today, 12/07.

LSDAS and UG GPA are about the same. Tiny difference, but not enough to change anything. HUGE upward trend though, and relatively significant work experience (not that they care about that).jk11287 wrote:Question: for any of the high LSAT splitters that were WL today, were your LSDAS GPAs relatively close to your university GPA? Re: Fordham Waiting Room
My numbers were very close. LSDAS dropped me from 3.02 to 2.95. I did hate to fall below that 3.0 line, though.jk11287 wrote:Question: for any of the high LSAT splitters that were WL today, were your LSDAS GPAs relatively close to your university GPA? LSDAS GPA: 3.2jk11287 wrote:Question: for any of the high LSAT splitters that were WL today, were your LSDAS GPAs relatively close to your university GPA? Or were you screwed by the LSDAS? And any upward trends?
School GPA: 3.3
One NC fail dropped my GPA by 0.1 exactly.
My GPA trend per year goes like this:
2.9 -> 2.7(3) -> 3.5 -> 3.5
Also, significantly more and significantly harder classes, PT work, and EC leadership in the last two years.
*shrug*
In the end, it's just a number, can't make up for messing up easy classes now, even if it doesn't say shit about me.

Whoa - this thread blew up since this afternoon.
I'm still at complete, for what it matters. 167/3.6, submitted 10/31, Complete 11/02.
It looks like they WL'd the splitters today. Hmm... Sorry everyone, not the great news we were hoping for.

Still complete too 167/3.42 (and my GPA should have been 3.44....still cannot figure out why they dropped it)beebs wrote:Whoa - this thread blew up since this afternoon.

Ugh, I was complete 10/19 and am, as I mentioned, a splitter like anyone else, yet no movement on my status checker today. Anyone else out there like me?

Something tells me that at least you two are safe. There was an accept earlier with I think a 166/3.6. It seems like they're just WLing the splitters (both kinds).RubyDoomsday wrote:Still complete too 167/3.42 (and my GPA should have been 3.44....still cannot figure out why they dropped it)beebs wrote:Whoa - this thread blew up since this afternoon.

3.45/168 - still EA Complete 11/2. Freaking out - Fordham is one of my very top choices!NancyBotwin wrote:Something tells me that at least you two are safe. Re: Fordham Waiting Room
Everyone keeps saying that they waitlisted only splitters today, but I am not a splitter (and I was waitlisted). I have a 165 LSAT (pretty mediocre for Fordham) and I don't have a GPA, which, according to my calculations, means that I will be perceived as if I have a median GPA. So I guess they waitlisted the splitters AND the "average" applicants?

It doesn't look like anyone above 75th on LSAT and GPA got WL'd, so I guess you could say that.Burger in a can wrote:Everyone keeps saying that they waitlisted only splitters today, but I am not a splitter (and I was waitlisted). Re: Fordham Waiting Room
You're right. As the graph fills out, I have no idea what's going on. Some people were saying that maybe they just ran out of time on EA, and just decided to WL almost all of us, so maybe that's it? I have no idea.Burger in a can wrote:Everyone keeps saying that they waitlisted only splitters today, but I am not a splitter (and I was waitlisted). I am a splitter that wasn't waitlisted today (3.2/170). No action yet since 11/2. My university GPA is 3.5, and I have a strong upward trend. Not sure whether I should be expecting good news or bad. Stop ignoring me Fordham, or prepare to feel my wrath.

I'm in almost the exact same situation. 169/degree-granting university GPA 3.78/LSDAS 3.23, and no action on my status checker.guyincognito wrote:I am a splitter that wasn't waitlisted today (3.2/170).
