I was on vacation as well when I got the call, so the office left me a voicemail that I didn't get for about a week . . . they didn't send an email/snail mail until about a month after the phone call (although I applied/was admitted very early in the cycle). I got the voicemail when I got home and returned the call to find out about acceptance . . . so I bet no email for a while, but don't sweat it, the offer will be waiting for you when you call.rufferoo wrote:dam.. you got in!! nice and congrats.. i guess they continue accepting ppl throughout the holidays.
does anyone know what happens if they can't call you?! cuz I'm on vacation right now and I won't be able to pick up my phone at home!!!!!!!!

Re: UCLA?
I emailed Dean Schwartz since I was getting no answer at the admissions office and he emailed me back last night to let me know I got in. He also said my admissions packet would be sent to me this week. Good luck!rufferoo wrote:dam.. you got in!! nice and congrats.. i guess they continue accepting ppl throughout the holidays.

Re: UCLA?
i'm starting to wonder why i haven't heard from UCLA. i submitted in late sept. i've gotten into duke and NYU since then so i feel i should be able to get in - does UCLA ever YP? i'm really happy to have gotten in where i've gotten in, so i'm not feeling too impatient, just curious at this point.

I am in the same situation. Applied the beginning of October, have gotten into NYU, Mich, Virginia, etc., and have yet to hear a peep from UCLA. Really am interested in UCLA but has been kind of annoying to hear nothing after applying early. Tempted to call in the next week or so if I don't hear anything...

In at NYU, Mich, AND UVA and you are still considering UCLA? Are you from Cali? I'd happily take any of those!JetstoRJC wrote:I am in the same situation. Well this makes me worry.. I'm really surprised I haven't heard anything from them yet. I thought I'd definitely have heard by now. I'm either a WL or a R though, so not looking forward to it.dgb87 wrote:Waitlisted today via email 3.66/168 applied on 11/08/09...good luck to everyone else!

My exact numbers twin! I just got a fee waiver from UCLA..not going to apply, but was just checking this thread in passing. Good luck with your cycle, I've applied to a few of the same schools as you.dgb87 wrote:Waitlisted today via email 3.66/168 applied on 11/08/09...good luck to everyone else!
