1st quartile.
I THINK read in the 2017 thread that they didn't go deep last year - and only from 1st quartile.
The year before they let in 40 or so off of waitlist. Not sure the spread there. THere's an interview with Dean Tom where he mentions it.
That's what I remember at least.

my guess is you are in a good enough spot to likely be admitted if people start withdrawing.. though I don't think they start pulling off the wl til summer.Eladriel wrote:First Quartile. PM me for stats.

my question is if you are not on the wl, and still UR, does that basically mean you are rejected? I imagine they aren't going to add anyone else to the wl now that they sent out the quartile information.

I'm in the Third Quartile of the waitlist for the Traditional Track LLM.
I just called and they said they don't take LOCIs into account because they already ranked their WL. The status checker online also states to not please send in any additional documents.
I already have my LOCI done because I started working on it before reading this. Should I send it in anyways seeing as I am already basically rejected?
I think I'd rather shoot them an e-mail attaching the LOCI and state that I just wanted to be proactive since I am basically rejected anyways....
Thoughts?

Is anyone on the waitlist going to do anything to try and get in??dominicanguy12 wrote:I'm in the Third Quartile of the waitlist for the Traditional Track LLM.

I was admitted to the JD program, so I really don't know much about Berk's LLM admissions, but if you've been placed in the third quartile and told that LOCIs are not helpful beacuse the WL is already ranked, then I'm not sure what else you can do. Perhaps showing interest would have helped you get admitted from the 1st quartile, but I think it's best to look at other options now. I'm not saying you shouldn't have hope, but you just have to let the WL process play out and see where it takes you. Don't send any hasty emails... It's April. They will probably be admitting people off the WL well into the summer months. I know it's hard to receive bad news from your top choice, but annoying the admissions office and sending unnecessary materials won't help you. Step away from the keyboard.dominicanguy12 wrote:Is anyone on the waitlist going to do anything to try and get in??dominicanguy12 wrote:I'm in the Third Quartile of the waitlist for the Traditional Track LLM.

FYI - Made a waitlist thread and I'm sitting there all alone if anyone wants to join. Otherwise, very happy to be the only TLS'er on the waitlist!

Anyone else just get the email that Berk is out of money? Pretty upset since I've been waiting for months for word on a scholarship... Going to withdraw

Wow, they "ran out"? Unbelievable. I'm assuming that means everyone on the WL will be paying 100% sticker.Mavs592 wrote:Anyone else just get the email that Berk is out of money? Pretty upset since I've been waiting for months for word on a scholarship... Going to withdraw
Can anyone confirm they received this e-mail as well?
And god luck on your other options Mavs592. Agreed that sticker is a tough pill to swallow and probably not worth it in many cases.

"We are writing to inform you that the Berkeley Law scholarship consideration and awarding process is now complete.
We are no longer considering scholarship applications, nor making any new scholarship offers.
If you have not already been offered a scholarship, no scholarship offer is forthcoming.
We are no longer accepting Matching Scholarship applications and will not consider any further requests for matching, nor will we reconsider offers we've already made.
If you have received an award (Matching Scholarship, Dean's Fellowship, named scholarship, etc.) your award offer is final. We will not increase existing scholarship offers.
We are still accepting requests to defer admission. If you are granted a deferment and have a scholarship offer, you will automatically be allowed to defer the scholarship, too."
Maybe they still have money set aside for the WL? IDK. And thanks
